I keeping thinking about Witch Hat Ateliers themes around childern. How adults, and by extension community, have an inherent responsibility towards childern, the power inbalance that comes from that and what happens when they fail their responsibilities towards childern.

How WHA is a coming of age story, not of self-identity but of recognizing your part in a larger community. Of growing up and losing your innocents and naivety as you realize the flaws and injustices of society and deciding what to do about it.

Witch Hat Atelier is just kind to childern. It's empowering to them as it recognizes their lack of power and their dependancy while still showcasing how they influence and make the world better.

I would really love to practice small animation loops like this more tbh

Maybe do like, animated pfps commissions or something? One day though

For now I am too nervous about my skill level to even try and price it

Random blurb thoughts but like

I adore seeing people incorporate tree themes into their designs for Nightmare and Dream and I too wanted to include it. But my apple twins designs are already set (just need to y'know actually draw them sbhdhdhdj)

Then I had an idea.

What if I incorporate it into their portals?

Nightmare's portals after his corruption just kind of look like gross vines, but if they weren't covered in the goop they would look like twisting branches from an apple tree.

As for Dream's? His portals would be apple blossoms and leaves. Literally if I didn't suck ass at plants I would draw out what I envisioned because it looked so pretty in my mind. Just the swirling of loose apple blossoms and leaves going around you and when it clears you are now in a new place.

I might be a little late to the art fight party

I'm going to make Waow his new ref profile, but there is a good chance I won't be immediately active on there

Motivation to draw has completely left me atm and trying to draw just makes me feel burnt out.

I do want to try and participate when I can though

I think one of my post graduation project will be to make a dragon design game, similar to the dress-up flash games (RIP Flash) that dominated my childhood.

I think it'd be fun to make and share something similar to the games I spent hours on as a child but with my own interest mixed in.
