Sharp Teeth
You join your Mother Carmilla Carmine to visit Cannabil Town. While Carmilla is having a chat with Rosie, you make friends with a young cannabil Baby and try to cheer him up....only Problem was, the Baby had very sharp Teeth and sort of ate parts of your Pacifier.
"DeDe and CeCe are visiting too?"
You look around curiously as Carmilla picks you up and you start the journey to Cannabil Town. Mom says she needs to talk to Auntie Rosie and that you 'must' come with her.
Odette and Clara are delivering something for Carmine Enterprises and couldn't play hide-and-seek with you after your late breakfast…maybe your big sisters will come here to Cannabil Town?
"Your sisters are busy delivering goods to the Pride Ring, they'll be joining us for dinner," Carmilla murmured, tightening her grip on you as you entered Rosie's shop and the first skeptical glances from the residents of Cannabil Town noticed you.
"Zestial dinner too? Yes? Yes, Mama!" - you said, demonstratively holding out the new pacifier chain that Carmilla had attached to your black and white toddler jacket, from which a pink pacifier dangled.
The pacifier chain was—of course—in the spider web design and Zestial's signature colors.
Now that you've overcome your shyness about the Overland, you're always thrilled when Zestial visits the Carmine estate, and yess …
"No, Bebe - not today. When Mommy talks to Rosie, you stay close to me… my tolerance for Cannabil Town is… still a bit… shaky… no running away and no hide-and-seek!" - Carmilla explained to you as she entered the store.
"Carmilla! Darling, come here, come here! Naaaw, you brought the adorable little toddler with you! And she's wearing a jacket that matches your outfit! Absolutely adorable!"- Rosie recognized you shortly after entering and beckoned you over.
After cuddling you and admiring your new pacifier chain, Carmilla lowers you to the floor with another admonishing screed… doorknobs are out of your reach… fortunately, spontaneously running away isn't an option.
And for a moment, you stand like a little duckling next to Carmilla, watching Carmilla and Rosie talk to each other…but it's a boring, adult conversation…so you decide to look around a bit and…oh, is that a baby?
The babbling sounds and the soft rustling of a rattle not far from you make you look to your right…there in a Maxi-Cosi is a baby, maybe 1 year old…a boy with a skeleton rattle, and maybe you can become friends?
Clara always says - friendships are important, but big sisters are more important…maybe Clara would be happy if you made friends with the younger baby! That's exactly what you're doing now!
You tap your way to the Maxi-Cosi, which, of course, is not far from the baby's mother. The mother is talking to another customer and keeps glancing over her shoulder at the baby.
"Hi! Hi baby!" you say kindly, pointing to yourself, introducing yourself by name, and tapping the rattle once.
The baby looked at you and showed off a few sharp teeth.
You weren't afraid…you knew Auntie Rosie's very sharp teeth, and because the baby, with a rude gesture, grabbed your pacifier and pacifier clip, examined the pacifier…and then put it in her mouth.
"Nuh-Nuh baby. Pacifier mine!" - you said, making a disgruntled noise.
But the baby made no attempt to give you back your possession.
Instead, you heard a few gnawing, scratching noises and audibly gasped for air.
"BABY NO! PACI NO SNACK!" - you said, loud enough so that not only the baby boy's mother could hear you, but also Carmilla, and of course Rosie.
"Oh sweetheart, I'm sorry about your pacifier. You know, babies in Cannabil Town have their baby teeth very early, and they're very sharp." - Rosie examines the partially bitten-off, broken pacifier moments later, after the baby's mother has freed the pacifier…or rather, the remains.
Rosie pats your cheek once and promises to replace the broken pacifier.
"Auntie Rosie! Baby needs pacifier too.....sharp Teeth!" you say seriously, and then run to Carmilla to tell her what happened.
"Maybe that would be a reason for the Pacifier Demon to make you say goodbye to the other Pacifiers as well?" - Carmilla said with dry humor.
But you just laughed happily.
"Mama! Me no sharp teeth—see!" - you replied, grinning broadly.
THE END
