How The Cannibal Virus Works in TTS
The Cannibal Virus only affects robots. Most robots in this world have eating functions. Those who don't will still be corrupted and will attack regardless. Those who start eating have to keep that up or they'll become weak. They can smell or sense others that are infected.
Its unknown how it's spreads. It's theorized the outbreak started from a malware upload on one or several secret networks for animontronic society.
The coding is so malicious it's able to bypass most firewalls. It can find the smallest of breaks in the wall or sit there and "gnaw" it's way through.
Other theories include saliva, sharing code, consuming or incorporating parts from a infected robot.
-erratic or manic behavior
The laughter can vary between persons based on personality, however its still uncontrollable and can be painful.
-chewing on themselves or other metal objects
-consuming another living robot
-displays sadistic tendencies
-random fits of twitching and loss of coordination
The way the virus affects its host is a spectrum.
The catergories are Feral, Semi, Tame.
Feral-No more then animals. Can't understand reason. Loners. Will attack everyone. Doesn't talk outside of laughing, growling, or yelling.
Semi- Has some control over themselves. Can function in society with difficulty. They can understand reason, but might choice to ignore it. Can speak fluently, though might stutter if they're losing control.
Tame- Seemingly has full control over themselves. Fully aware. They can understand reason, but might choice to ignore it. Their term is deceptive for a reason. Can speak fluently.
An infected can potentially change categories, though it's much rarer for a feral to become semi, then for a semi to become tame. Since it's a spectrum some can fall in between categories.
The virus is very corruptive and can express itself through means other then just anger. The virus can also play on desires a well. Meaning it can create some truly sadistic monsters.
Once an infected starts consuming they have to keep up. If deprived of meals they'll become desperate and experience mental degradation. Twitching will happen more frequently and will lead to seizures, as well as more loss of coordination. Eventually the body will become too weak to feed the virus's wants and the body will shut down.
