15x18 Canon

No one is addressing the fact that this is the first time ever, in Castiel’s entire existence, that he is experiencing these emotions. He has never felt this form of love before and the way he worded his monologue leading up to the confession was perfect. He isn’t in love with Dean because he is just some dude. He is in love with his personality, his passion, his protectiveness. He’s in love with Dean’s SOUL. This isn’t a physical love. This isn’t a sexual love. This is a spiritual love for Castiel. He is purely in love with Dean’s soul and who he is as a person; no matter what his sex is, what his gender is, all of those elements are simply trivial. It doesn’t matter. What matters is that since he pulled Dean out of Hell, Dean has taught him how to love, he has taught Castiel what it is like and what it means to be human, how to actually feel what human’s feel. This care and attentiveness is what has made Castiel fall in love with Dean over these 12 years. It’s that Dean was Dean, no matter how much he tried to put on a mask, Castiel could see right through it and could see into his heart, into his soul, that is the Dean Castiel fell in love with.

So finally Destiel is canon. Yay😍 But... Everyone is okay with Cas' death? It's final guys, you know it right? The handprint tells it all: the first time Cas touched Dean he gave him a handprint. And the last time Cas touched him... Cas gave a handprint to him. 🙂Thanks, Bobo... 🙂 It's sad and beautiful at the same time 🙂

I'm just a little mad that they don't let him be with them til the very last ep. I know, I'm cruel but I'm still a bit sad that they won't die together.

Finale Theories

So, taking into consideration all of the lore that Supernatural has put in place throughout the years. How a new death is chosen, how the supernatural hierarchy is laid out all of these things (including the season 5 Sam/ Lucifer and Dean/ Michael sword plot line) here is what I believe could be the ending for the show. THIS IS ALL JUST ME THEORIZING THINGS, I COULD BE COMPLETELY WRONG (most likely am)...

So as we know, The Empty is the only being who can kill death, however, Death is already dying due to the scythe cut that Dean did in 15x18. As we aren’t fully knowledgeable about what happens in the empty, either her wound will continue to fester, will kill her instantly (doubt), will pause the festering, or it will heal completely. Yet that still does leave The Empty (being) and Billie!Death to have a battle within the Empty (realm), but that does bring up the line “You made it loud” what The Empty (being) said to Jack once he re-materialized, and how every demon and angel since the beginning of time could possibly be awake now, trapped in their confusion of where they are, what happened and what is happening right now. Let’s say The Empty (being) kills Billie!Death, then that means by the lore Supernatural has put in place, a new Death will have to be put in place, this would be the most recent angel to have died...That would be Castiel. 

In this area, I believe Castiel will become the next Death, then as Chuck!God has no control over him, Cas can then read God’s book and help the boys kill him because he would be able to know how the story/ show ends.

In regards to the God/ Amara situation; how he consumed her in 15x17, I think that power wise, Amara is stronger than God and so she will overpower him and free herself from him then aid in the boys taking on God and she could even possibly sacrifice herself because she isn’t as dark as she once was, that way getting rid of both seemingly light and dark from this world, creating a fresh “balance”.

In the Empty (realm), technically Archangels are still Angels, so in theory Lucifer, Gabriel and Raphael would be asleep in the Empty, but as they aren’t in the cast list for either of the last episodes I doubt that this theory is even close to possible. But anyway... We never actually had the fight between Dean/ Michael and Sam/ Lucifer (Michael was in ADAM in season 5, and Lucifer was in NICK in season 13) we never got the fight that Gabriel repeatedly stated was their “Destiny”, so they could possibly take God on, again I doubt it though.

This leads onto me thinking that the show could possibly thinking that Dean could become the ruler of Heaven (Michael could help him along the way, if Michael survives the finale). Sam could become the head of Hell (Rowena could help HIM along the way). not going to lie I don’t know about Jack...sorry. But obviously if Castiel does become the next Death, he can visit all of the realms including Heaven and have a relationship with Dean (fingers crossed). Maybe Jack could be the protector of Earth if everyone gets restored once God is destroyed.

AGAIN THESE ARE JUST ME SPURTING A BUNCH OF IDEAS THAT MAY OR MAY NOT BECOME TRUE IN THE SHOW. BUT I’M EXCITED TO SEE WHERE THE CREATORS TAKE THIS ENDING!!!

Another 15x18 Response

Many people are discussing the way Jensen acted during the confession scene and I just want to share my two cents on it.

The way that Dean was reacting to what Cas was saying, and what he would finally tell him: “I love you.”, is totally what our Dean would do. He wasn’t being homophobic or physically implying that he didn’t feel the same, he was simply trying to convince Cas to not continue in what he was getting at and bare with me...

What I mean by this is...

In past seasons any time Dean has spoken about people caring for him he has stated “I’m poison, Sam. People get close to me, they get killed...Or worse.” and situations where people have cared for him or he has deeply cared for them such as Jo, Lisa and Ben, even Benny when you think about it have ended badly with them eventually dying or in terms of Lisa and Ben being in peril due to the supernatural world. And more recently the character Dean sang with in the bar who was an old friend of his who turned into a villain ended up dead also.

Dean’s reaction in this scene was him simply saying in his mind “Don’t say these things Cas. Not that they aren’t true, but because if you say them in the open, something bad is going to happen to you.” I believe that because Cas finallly voiced all of his love for Dean, Dean is then going to take the blame for the empty taking him. He’s going to believe “Cas loved me. I was Cas’s happiness. I’m the reason he is gone.” And so Jensen’s acting choices of shaking his head, being in disbelief of what Cas was saying, him saying “Don’t do this Cas.” was completely understandable and suited Dean perfectly when taking into consideration all of the context of how Dean’s brain works, and how his guilt-complex turns anything beautiful and positive into something ugly and negative.

hiiiii i gotta question for you. what are some ts lyrics that had a huge emotional impact when you heard them for the first time? (not like whole songs, just lines that really stood out)

"basic" answer in the sense that I'm sure every swiftie felt the same way lmao but "give me back my girlhood, it was mine first" in would've, could've, should've was a gut punch...especially bc I was still in such a state of "new taylor album AND 7 songs we didn't even know we were going to get" that I was probably only processing about 10% of what I was hearing on first listen but that lyric stood out so much I had to pause it for a second, stare at the wall, and start the whole song from the beginning.

and most of these are from her more recent work bc I remember more from those first listens but some others that come to mind are "he said that if the sex was half as good as the conversation was, soon they'd be pushing strollers" from the manuscript, "she would've made such a lovely bride, what a shame she's fucked in the head" from champagne problems, and "I wouldn't marry me either" from you're losing me.
