Captain Tom's Restaurant by StreetsofWashington Via Flickr: Captain Tom's, on H Street downtown, was an early venture by Raymond Schweitzer (1907-1970), who later replaced it with the Old Angus, a successful steakhouse that spawned several other area locations. An inveterate restaurant man, Schweitzer died from a heart attack he suffered while eating at the Black Beard restaurant nearby on M Street.
