1. Sexuality Headcanon I can see Murphy being either bisexual or asexual. When I see him as bisexual, I think about how confused he must have been after his father was gone. His mother wasn’t there for him mentally, abusing and degrading him, so he simply enjoyed the comfort of another person. It could have been a neighbor boy who heard his mother’s drunken rants that befriended Murphy and walked with him to class every day. A girl could have noticed the tears in his clothes because they were so old, likely due to his mother’s neglect, and gave him some new clothes bought with her own rations or sewn the holes. Murphy accepted love where he could get it because it was so rare.
When I see him as asexual, I think about how easily he killed Connor and Myles, while having his reasons, and how he was tortured by Grounders for days straight. He lost his faith in the people around him and probably has major trust issues. Being in a relationship means being vulnerable, and he just can’t trust people again to open up.2. OTPMurphamy3. BROTPClurphy. They can be buds. I can see Clarke sympathizing a bit more with Murphy after what she’s been through and imagine them awkwardly trying to comfort each other. 4. NOTPI don’t know, but I’m sure there is one.5. First headcanon that pops into my headMurphy can sometimes feel the ghost of the noose around his neck, when he’s vulnerable and doesn’t have his guard up. When he sleeps, sometimes he feels like he’s being hung again when it’s only his own clothes or a blanket constricting him.6. Favorite line from this character“Your promise land sucks!”7. One way in which I relate to this characterWe’re both cynical and sarcastic assholes.8.
