Technically, trying to invade a government building wasn’t the smartest course of action, but Jessica had never been much interested in the technical. When something horrible happened, she acted, and right now, Doom had managed to singlehandedly turn all of New York against the unregistered heroes. To say that she was pissed was an understatement and rather than stand back and consider options, Jessica decided that she wanted evidence it had been Doom’s plan all along. There was no chance of getting into the empire state building, but she could attempt to break into their Municipal Building. Surely there had to be something of value in there. With Carol at her side, Jessica hadn’t stopped to consider anything else, deciding that it needed to be done.
“I say we go in through the front door,” she said to Carol. “Stealth is kinda worthless once everyone in the city either appreciates or hates you. Besides, Doom should know that we’re onto him,” Jessica said. There was no getting close to the president, but if he felt pressured or panicked, there would inevitably be a response. Only a monster invaded people’s privacy and exposed them like that, as far as Jessica was concerned. Once she went to break down the door, demons began pouring out of the Municipal Hall and she sighed. “Typical,” she said, glancing over at Carol. “If this isn’t evidence, I don’t know what is. Doom is a crook.”
