Dawn and dusk are my favorite times of day. Times of transition and mystery. What is in store for a new day, a new night? What are we leaving behind? These moments arouse the thrill of the chase in me, like no other. The colors are magical, but they don’t last long. As a photographer, it’s especially fun to try to catch the sky in transition. It reminds me to align with nature and seize the moment, love the beauty while it lasts.
The first picture was taken from behind a screen at our hotel room after an epic photoshoot at seaside - and the second is from the end of that set. To me, my husband embodies dawn and dusk energy. He is the sun in all its phases, but it’s too bright to look at... except during dawn and dusk, when it’s easy on the eyes... but also about to slip away. His beauty is unfathomable, and he arouses my chasing instinct, as I’m always reaching to capture it.
