Yo! It's about time that we get this game going, don't you think? This upcoming Saturday, I'll be publishing the prologue and Carcerem will begin. We've tried to give you guys some time to get into the group chat, follow the game blog, set your blogs up, and prepare for the game in general so these last two days will be free for you to wrap up your work!
Mod Leo will be gone from the 8th to the 14th, meaning that it would be best to contact me if you have anything to ask. Let's get this game going as smoothly as possible, so don't fret if you have to come in late to start up with the rest of us: submit reaction posts as soon as you can and get your character up to date with the events like any other player.
Here's a general run-down of how things will happen for the people who have never participated in a submission-style group before!
The events will go down and any posts will be withheld. Once I have published all of the prologue posts, I'll have you submit your character reactions and role-playing will start! Reactions, opens, and posts in which your character moves on their own to another location must be submitted to the game blog.
Your post will then be published and you will reblog it to your character blog. Every player must give a reaction to an event before responding to an open, but if you have given a response to the plot and your character is in the same location as another character, you may directly respond to that player's open! Please ask permission before responding to an open, as you may need to organize a multiple-character thread.
It's important to know how to make posts and role-play in a group setting. Here's a quick explanation on tags, titles and general format tips.
Tags are very important in a group role-play! Let's say Kawaneko is a character on the roster and to reply to a Kawaneko post, you might put these tags.
Tags are important to organize your blog and make sure people (including yourself) can navigate it smoothly.
Your role-play posts should be paragraphed and in third person. A preference is all direct speech in blockquotes, although this is not required. You must title your post accurately, and the title must be set up in the following ways:
Your character’s name [Kuroneko]
A title for your post (be original!) [Funky Memes!]
Who your post is regarding (if applicable), marked with “RE:” [RE: Kawaneko]
The location that your post is set in (if your character is moving, include where they have moved from) [Memeland > Hope's Peak]
For example: Kuroneko | Funky Memes! | RE: Kawaneko | Memeland > Hope’s Peak
