pokemon may have more interesting illustrations and rare cards in their tcg and better rewards for competitive players and a more comprehensible game but they don’t have cupsy yummy. so.

The thing tripping me up is that when stylized for comix the MtGs and Duel Monsters (or shall I say. Monsters and Wizards) end up looking really similar. Which is fair. Because everything is Magic the Gathering. It’s fucking MtG.
Toei had the right idea with their version of the M&W card backs in this regard but in practice it probably would have been annoying to draw over and over again if it were for a manga idk. it's MW
Anyways the stylization doesn't change when it turns into Duel Masters tcg rather than MtG which is great I guess because that's not what their card backs look like
I suppose all cards are Texture With Circle in manga land!
im not going to repost it bc who the fuck am i but i did stumble across a cosplay photo on twitter dot com where a person in Bucketman cosplay is lying on the ground with signs that say "Bucketman has died" "offerings" and on the ground in front of them are a bunch of Yugioh cards scattered about. and it's killing me I wish it was on tumblr i do want this image on my blog it's so fuckign funny
backreading my duelmasters tag and specifically my Yuu's Brother Tirades and thinking about. ok. the thing that is always basically constantly in the back of my mind when Yuu's Brother is on screen that I have been keeping out of my duelmasters posts proper. is. "I miss Marik so bad"
thinking about a concept i would have to call "card game apocalypse world" which is just a version of the world where duel masters and yugioh r taking place in the same world. concurrently more or less. genuine hellscape I think like really really bad. so many people are dying
