Cardinalstorm!

Jayfeather’s au counterpart! Cardinalstorm is a warrior in this au, and he is quite the fighter. He trained under Brightheart who helped him develop a style of fighting which suited him. He relies mainly on sound and scent, and since border scuffles are pretty noisy its no problem for gettin in some good whacks. While he doesn’t have the best of luck hunting he still joins hunting patrols to help track prey.

Cardinalstorm has the power to call upon the aid of cardinals. He is always seen with at least one in his proximity and if you can’t see any they are definitely hiding somewhere ready to strike. While his power doesn’t let him understand his cardinals he’s heard their calls enough to differentiate meaning of different chirps. Unlike his sister he’s a little more open about this power but the clan is completely unaware of the implication and just think he’s a weirdo that cardinals like to hang around. And if you DARE bring a Cardinal into the fresh-kill pile be ready haunted by Cardinalstorm’s little friends for next week, scaring away your prey, diving at you, not letting you get a good night’s sleep etc. A lot of his clanmates are kinda scared of him because of this but Cardinalstorm loves it and thinks its kinda funny. 

Similar to his canon version he’s snippy and won’t sugarcoat anything but unlike jayfeather, cardinalstorm will say it with a laugh and a smile. This furthers his clanmates standoffishness  but he doesn’t care he only genuinely enjoys a pawful of company anyway. He’s definitely the meanest of the three but also the most likely to save your life if you’re stuck in a rock and a hard place. While he’s gets along best with his siblings, he is prone to getting into spats with Yew about abusing her powers and tends to tell off Tigerblaze for being to cowardly and letting everyone walk all over him. He doesn’t even speak to Brambleclaw anymore.

The only cat whose company he loves best is mate, Berrynose. No one knows why but Cardinalstorm adores him. He’s the only one Cardinalstorm won’t say tell off. Cardinalstorm will wipe out an entire troop of shadowclan cats without breaking a sweat and go home and listen to Berrynose ramble on about a cool bug he saw. He loves his funny little boyfriend.
