"Do you remember me, Rory?" Death whispered in his ear before turning to stand in front of him. She wasn't sure how she felt about this human, he murdered but she also pitied him. The woman had a sickly grin on her face, crossing her arms over her chest.

Joanna could barely contain her excitement when she helped Rory up the stairs. On his face, she tied a band around it but she made sure it wasn't too dark for him. She didn't want to scare him. "You're gonna love it." He had just been hit by a car so of course she was babying him. When he was in the hospital, her early wedding gift was all ready. She wanted it to be a surprise for Rory. "You're gonna be so happy." She giggled and looked up at the house. She opened the door and helped him step in.

The house was rather large and she felt tiny compared to it. Her grandparents told her she could come to them if she needed anything, anything at all. Now, she was desperate. Her heart was speeding even though she shouldn't have been scared. Quickly, she calmed herself and walked up the home. Theodore opened the door with a large grin. "Joanna!" He said, bringing her into a hug. Normally, it would have made her smile but she didn't. He noticed and frowned, causing wrinkles to form around his forehead. 

"I-I have to ask you about something." Jo said, looking up to the taller man. Within seconds they were in the living room. It looked more like a show room than a home. Everything looked so perfect, she moved away from it all so she wouldn't break anything. Her stomach was doing flips and turns as if it was doing gymnastics. There was no way to get rid of it but she sure wished she could. 

The young woman didn't even let him speak, she just started to talk. "Rory and I are struggling. A lot. I-I have three jobs and I'm trying to pay so much dept and... I have a son to take care of and an adopted daughter and... I-I can't do it anymore. Rory he... it got too much for him an--" Jo found herself crying. It wasn't on purpose, maybe she was going back to her old ways so quickly. When she was a runaway she used pity like it was no problem. But now that she wanted to have some kind of dignity, she hated to use pity. 

"Jo, Joanna, it's okay." He took her hands and gave them a squeeze. "Is it money issues?" He asked. Joanna had to force herself to breathe but she nodded. 

"Joanna, your grandmother and I are coming to the last of our days. And you're the only family we really have. When Lily was kicked out, Piper left too and she refuses to speak to us. We'd do anything for you." He said. "At least I would, I'm not sure about your grandmother. She's... she's a little... well, lets just keep this secret." He said softly. Joanna forced a smile and looked back up to him.

"Thank you." She whispered. He just smiled and nodded. 

"Besides, I didn't want you living in that awful apartment anymore so Joann and I were going to buy you two a house as a wedding present. It'll be early and a secret." He grinned and pressed a finger to his lip. Joanna laughed a laugh of relief and hugged him tightly. "Thank you so much." She said, feeling tears burn at her eyes. 

Maybe I'll be okay.
