These Carne Deshebrada Braised Beef Tacos are soft and tasty, and they're great for taco night. Slowly cooking the beef with flavorful spices makes it very tender and easy to shred. Add your favorite toppings to make it taste good!
Ingredients: 2 lbs beef chuck roast. 1 onion, chopped. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 2 bay leaves. 1 tsp cumin. 1 tsp dried oregano. 1/2 tsp black pepper. 1/2 tsp salt. 2 cups beef broth. 1/4 cup vegetable oil. 12 small corn tortillas. Toppings salsa, shredded lettuce, cheese, etc..
Instructions: Add salt and pepper to the beef. Put vegetable oil in a large skillet and heat it over medium-high heat. Brown the beef all over by searing it. Take the beef out of the pan and set it aside. Add the onion and garlic to the same pan and cook them until they get soft. Put the beef back in the pan and add the beef broth, bay leaves, cumin, and oregano. Cover and cook on low heat for two to three hours, or until the beef is soft and easy to shred. Use forks to shred the beef, then mix it with the cooking juices. You can warm corn tortillas in the microwave or a dry pan. Put some of the shredded beef mixture in each tortilla. Add your favorite things on top, like cheese, salsa, or shredded lettuce. Serve your tasty Braised Beef Tacos and enjoy them!
