Hey there! I just wanted to stop in and say that you're really cool and I love your blog!
Oh, yay!! :D Thank you, I really love your blog as well!
(I NEVER GET RANDOM INBOX LOVE :DDDDDDDD)
caroline-j-deleted replied to your post: Still feel sick and I’m wondering— "HELLOOOO!...
I have that ringtone, too!
With the other ringtones I've had (Mario theme, the original Pokemon battle music from R/B) I would just rush to fish out my phone, but with that ringtone, I almost always find myself saying stuff like, "Okay, okay, I'm coming! Sheesh."
I was worried back at college that my room-mates would find the ringtone annoying, but they thought it was hilarious.

What prompted all this with the tiny characters?
was thinking about cavedos size differences yesterday
and then tiny rat science
and then I had a dream about teeny tiny turret-dos
caroline-j-deleted replied to your post “remember the day the PeTI came out? that was a good day”
where the fuck was caroline, anyways
my headcanon is that for some unknown reason caroline is a rare occurrence at aperture, and all the aus in the peti just happen to not have carolines in them (assuming that cave prime is also an au cave, not our cave from the main timeline)
at one point I considered writing a fic about a different au caroline methodically ensuring that no other carolines existed, but then I got lazy
Have you heard any of the Welcome to Night Vale podcasts? I've been listening to them lately and I can't help but think that Night Vale is basically what would happen if Aperture had a town. (Like how military bases sometimes have towns for the employee's families.) Then I started thinking about crossovers, etc., but I thought you might appreciate the idea of Aperture having a town.
haven't listened to them yet, but I plan to as soon as I can
I expect it to be right up my alley

I was replaying Portal 2 the other day and I came across something that said that at one point in Aperture's decline, Cave made testing mandatory for all Aperture employees. Would that have included Caroline? If she was exempt, how would the other employees have viewed her? If she had to test, what would the outcome have been?
Seeing as all of Aperture's important paperwork goes through Caroline, I'm guessing she removes her name from any testing schedules long before anyone else ever hears about it. Even if she did somehow end up on a list, Cave would object -- he needs her far more as an assistant than as a lab rat. The other employees resent her for it, but she's the boss's right hand, and they've been resenting her for years. They expect her to weasel out of it, and they'd be more surprised if she didn't.
If she somehow did end up on the testing track, through some paperwork mistake or vindictive trick by someone who disliked her even more than normal -- and assuming neither she nor Cave got her out of it -- she'd do pretty well testing, seeing as she helped design a lot of the tougher chambers herself. Her only obstacle might be physical fitness. She's middle-aged by this point, and not in the best condition. Not exactly prime test material.
