For the strangest reason, Bill had sent Negan to go pick up Caroline from the party she was trying to escape, or didn’t feel safe at. He knew the real reason -- if he was honest with himself. Bill was drunk. He had drank a little too much, and for once Negan was far from the alcohol level. Of course, the Forbes family trusted him, he was after all one of the main council members and had been friends with the family forever and a day.
He drove up in front of the party house and peaked down watching a stumbling Caroline come out. “Shit,” he sighed even if his heart went out to the poor girl. He smiled and got out of his car, holding out his hand once he reached her. “You need some support there, hope you don’t mind going to your home with me, Bill told me to come,” he smiled. “We were shooting pool.”

the argument was far too loud for any sort of peace. The Forbes’ house was always interesting, but he kept quite and mum in the living room. His eyes peered up seeing Caroline, the perky little girl he had watched grown up. He knew her practically like the back of his hand. He gave her a warm smile, trying to be comforting. Negan was fully aware of the look she was trying to present. The “I’m fine don’t ask.” Negan wasn’t an idiot, and on top of everything else -- he felt bad for her. The pressure of dating these days. Even though he had a wife who had really fucked him up, his world was no different.
“----Hey, I rented this really cheesy new horror flick, and I’m pretty sure you’d be the only one who could explain it, and after the fact your dad needs to calm it for a bit, your mom agrees you need a night out, even if it is just a crappy movie with me.”

“ you know we can’t do this. your mom, along with the rest of the town, is downstairs. ” apparently there were perks to growing up with a lockwood as a friend, including knowing which rooms would be best to sneak into for some privacy during big parties. founders events weren’t as big a deal to him as everyone else in town, but he kept up appearances and played along for the sake of not hearing secondhand gossip later on. and for the chance to see her. and while he objected out loud, stefan’s actions played a much different tune. one hand rested on her lower back, drawing her in closer to him as the other slowly reached up to caress her cheek. “ we’re playing with fire. ” though weren’t they always?

“Karev, someone in curtain ten for you.” Alex didn’t think much of it as he walked towards the curtain in question. He didn’t really understand why he had been picked specifically to deal with a patient. All he’d ever heard since starting his internship was that everyone hated him and his lousy bedside manners. Taking the chart a nurse handed off to him, Alex took a peek at it. The name made him give a pause. Caroline Forbes, 17, possible ankle sprain. He hadn’t seen her for years, but he could never forget the bubbly blonde. Probably one of the few happy things to enter their house growing up, Caroline was also one of Amber’s closest friends. “Do they not know how to fix sprains in Iowa?” Alex asked as he yanked the curtain back to see a much older version than the Caroline Forbes he remembered from five years ago. Despite himself he couldn’t help but grin at the girl. It was a nice surprise to a crazy day. “So what’s the problem, kid?”
