This doll left the world last week. We remembered her and buried her today. I learned a lot about my Grandma Atchison that I never knew: she received a scholarship to sing opera but was too sick with scarlett fever to take it. She lost her first love in WWI. She traveled to Wagga Wagga, Australia several times. And she had a hobby of reupholstering furniture. She died of old age and went peacefully in her sleep. That's exactly right. And as my dad said: she was a lady, and a lady always knows when to go.
