additional feedback on your car/mobility aid situation: call your car insurance company. this is the type of thing where they could potentially front you some cash to replace the lost items (repossession the car is legal, but keeping the contents is theft and should be covered). then their people will deal with contacting the repo place and sorting that stuff out after the fact. if the repo place did keep your stuff, i would count on it being banged up and taking days or weeks to actually return to you
that is good to know! i looked up some laws related to this at work the other day and it looks like they are legally supposed to contact us with a list of our belongings but with it being late december i don't know when that will actually happen... thank you for the feedback!!!
