“Questa poesia fu concepita e soprattutto scritta in un bosco che costeggia l’Arno, presso Firenze, e in un giorno quando il vento tempestoso, la cui temperatura è subito dolce e vivificante, stava raccogliendo i vapori che le piogge autunnali versano. My heart skipped a beat earlier today when I saw that Yumi Zouma had announced a new set of shows that will bring the New Zealand dream pop darlings to intimate Rickshaw Stop in October. We’ve fallen in love, time and time again, with the band’s gossamer grooves and diaphanous pop over the past few years, and we were very much fond of Yumi Zouma’s debut album Yoncalla last year. True to new touring form, the band has returned with news of a sophomore album and its first single. Willowbank will be out on October 6th on Cascine. December is an aureate dose of dreamy sunshine and windswept nostalgia. I can’t help but picture a sunny winter’s day. The brilliant sun illuminates the bare branches of trees all around us as we take a cruise down a dusty road. Our beanies cling to our scalps and a warm contentment washes over us.
