CASIBARI ROCK FORMATION, ARUBA (March 3, 2020)
Aboard the Kookoo Kunuku bus for a quick tour of Aruba, Eileen, Monique and I plus our busload of cruise mates eagerly embarked on the day’s adventure; first stop: the island’s famous Casibari Rock formation. The Casibari is a cluster of towering boulders that provide hikers with a breathtaking view of the island, thanks to walking trails and steps carved into the rock by the Aruban government. The path to the top seemed daunting from afar, but the trek itself was quick and delightful. Besides, the vista up there made everything worth it.

Most people just walked by the sign (including myself). My mother was the last to get to the top, muttering about how we all never stop to just take everything in. She brought back a picture of that sign, and I now wish I hadn't missed it.
