i've just decided i'm gonna make a horror short this week.

no idea yet what it's gonna be, and i'll have a budget of like ten dollars, whatever craft and costume supplies i still have left over from gish, my wildly deteriorated musical abilities, and a cast of... probably just me tbh. but i'm a good enough video editor and costume/vfx makeup artist that i think i can work around that.

anyway, if anyone wants to drop some inspiration in the replies here i'll throw it all into my mental slow cooker & see what kind of script i can come up with.

to be clear i'm not asking for an actual pitch -- just random words, images, songs, monsters, wikipedia articles, photos, philosophical concepts, names, historical figures, songs, existing movies, time periods, colors, locations, literally anything that comes to mind that you think might spark something.

update on the horror short(s)!

i had to set this project aside for a few days in order to organize/tidy up my garage workspace to make it bearable to be in here, and then i had to prepare for a series pitch i had to give yesterday (it went really well btw!) but today i’m finally getting back to it.

so here’s my to-do list for the day:

build a camera stabilization rig (using pvc pipe)

set construction

prop/costume construction

i might start filming tonight, though most likely not until tomorrow morning. i'll probably share some progress shots later <3
