I mean canonically they don’t have a lot of options at this point in the timeline for date because fighting in a resistance makes dating kinda hard. But here’s how I’d see after the First Order’s defeated

Poe occasionally takes Finn and Rey to fancy restaurants. Finn marvels at the luxury of it all, while Rey’s just amazed at how nice the food is and “is this really okay? This is a lot of food…” Poe’s not a big fan of fancy places but he’s just happy they’re happy. 

Both Rey and Poe love to go flying. They (playfully) argue over who gets to pilot first (they take turns but “c’mon it’s my turn to pilot the Millenium Falcon, c’mon Rey please”). Finn’s usually just a passenger, he can fly alright but he knows how much his partners love piloting and he doesn’t like it nearly as much as they do. 

Their absolute favourite thing to do though is to just lie down snuggled together in an open field and look at the stars.Finn can name every star and planet with incredible accuracy. Poe shares stories of his life whenever Finn names a planet/system he’s been too. Rey also shares stories but hers are what she’s overheard from travelers who had stopped on Niima Outpost. They also like to make shapes out of the stars (”that one looks like BB-8 don’t you think?” “Oh my god you’re right.”). They are just perfectly content and everything is right with the universe.

Thank you so much for this prompt Val it was fun! I hadn't written anything in a little while but had been wanting to. I got to learn some fun things about American lake monsters and look at some insane lakefront houses in Fort Worth lmao.

Kiss it Better

Realistically, Dean knew they were there for a hunt, but somewhere in the back of his mind he was actually really looking forward to a few days away. Just him and Cas in a rented lake house, on a serene lake that just happened to be housing a part-man, part-goat fish monster. The usual.

They spent the day interviewing folks in Fort Worth that had claimed to see the beast over the last couple weeks. One man, wearing skinny jeans and sandals, (Jesus Christ) said that he had just pulled up to his house on the lake one night and the monster had pounced on top of his car.

"Cost me like six thousand dollars to get the fricken dents out!" the dude complained. Dean tried not to roll his eyes, he thought the dumpster-shaped silver behemoth of a 'truck' probably looked better with the dents in it.

Next, they talked to a colorful-haired couple who had been at the Marina Park on a walk one evening when a "homophobic goat man" crawled up out of the lake and threw a rock at them.

"How did you know it was homophobic?" Castiel questioned with a tilt of his head.

"Uh duh?" the pink-haired girl motioned between herself and her green-haired partner who was looking Cas up and down with a suspicious furrow in her brows.

Castiel opened his mouth to no doubt argue the girls' claim but Dean butted in before he could. "Well, thank you ladies for your time, if you see it again give us a call." He handed a card to pinkie and grabbed Castiel's shoulder to spin him around back towards the car.

"But Dean, just because the monster attacked these lesbians, doesn't necessarily mean it is homophobic." Castiel reasoned as they slid back into the Impala.

Dean sighed and threw his arm over the back of the bench seat, twisting to look out the rear window as he backed up. "I know buddy but I don't think either of them was looking for you to change their minds." He shifted back into drive and turned to look at Cas. "Plus, I think they were getting a little suspicious of us. You stand out too much."

"Me? What about me is suspicious?"

Dean reached over and tugged on the lapel of Castiel's trench coat. "It's like 95 degrees out man and you've got 27 layers on!"

Castiel scowled at him. "A shirt, a suit jacket, and a trench coat are hardly 27 layers, Dean." He paused and his expression softened. "But I see what you mean."

Their last stop for the day was a trailer park and as they got out of the car Castiel paused to shed his outer layers. Dean watched, transfixed, as Cas rounded the front of the Impala rolling his shirt sleeves up to match Dean's.

I have a headcannon that monsters don't really die down in Purgatory, they just kinda respawn elsewhere. (Mostly because Benny is one of my favorite characters and I don't accept that he's dead)

So I wrote a little Benny in Purgatory drabble (below the cut) set after The Trap 15x9 when the Leviathan tells Dean about Benny.

There's not much else to do in Purgatory besides hunt each other down, even if monsters can't really die down here. But it makes Benny feel alive, well, alive as you can be when you're dead and damned eternally. He wanders the dank gray landscape itching for something to get his blood pumping (so to speak.)

That's when he spots a werewolf stupid (or bored) enough to be out in the open. Benny sneaks up behind him, the rushing of the river masking the already soft sound of his footsteps on the forest floor. He wraps one arm around the werewolf's shoulders, the other holding the large, tarnished, blade across his throat.

"Any last words, mutt?" He growls into the wolf's ear. Sure, Benny could have already sliced his head off before the werewolf even knew what hit him, but it was much more fun if they put up a fight.

"Benny Lafitte, as I live and breathe, well you know what I mean." The werewolf twists in Benny's grip to face him. "The only monster to make it out of Purgatory and then willingly come back. Long time no see pal, was starting to think you found another way out." He snarls.

Benny smiles back, baring his fangs, "Aw come on now, Damien, you know you ain't get rid of me that easy."

Damien winks and then breaks out of Benny's loosening grasp. Claws out, he gets a few good scratches at Benny before Benny pins him against the ground, forearm pressed to the werewolf's chest.

"You're losing your edge, D, this is barely any fun." Benny taunts drawing the blade against Damien's cheek.

Damien struggles against Benny's grasp but eventually stills and huffs out a laugh, changing tactics. "So I heard that little human of yours was back down here recently."

"Dean? Now you know better than to lie to me, cher." Benny presses the blade up against Damien's neck.

"Not lying, cher." Damien bites back. "Human in Purgatory, word gets around. You know how it is." Damien smirks up at Benny, knowing he's hit a nerve. "Heard he was here with his angel, looking for something. Musta been important to come all this way, but then again, word is he fit in rather well with us monsters down here. It's really too bad you missed the reunion." Damien laughs again but Benny has heard enough, he slices the werewolf's head off in one swift motion.

Benny stands and wipes the thick spray of blood from his face. He's not sure if he believes Damien's story, but if it's true, that at least means that Dean's still alive. Benny doesn't regret his decision to stay, he didn't belong up there and Dean didn't belong down here, but he's man enough to admit, sometimes, he misses Dean.
