I was so excited when Liv said that Alyssa might be Eye-aligned, considering our archivist Verona in this au is more linked with The End we needed someone that could take The Beholding
Cassius and Ginger take the places of Melanie and Georgie respectively, though their relationship is platonic the whole way through. That's also why they're the least scuffed up of the group, they didn't experience as much as everyone else (Ginger's patches are probably more of a stylistic choice than an apocalypse thing actually. She seems like the type to DIY and personalize clothes anyway). Alyssa and Hecate don't have specific parallels, so they're both added in as people working in artifact storage, with Hecate having a more broad job description while Alyssa specializes in tracking down Leitners. (Canonically in this au, Alyssa is the one who delivers the infamous Jurgen Leitner rant when she gets upset about having to sort through all his books)
