2020-05-01 I bought a Layens hive from HorizontalHive.com and I really like it. If it works out I may build a couple more myself. The plans are available here.
Since I didn’t have to build this one (just paint it), I decided to build a stand for it out of untreated KD 4x4s using castle joints. Turned out okay.
