Little Knight and Genevieve headcannon

• (I think Evie was a picky eater when she was still human) Knight would try food that she had never eaten before. They took it way to seriously but she would always like the food because Knight tried it and told her that she would.

• Knight will hit their head on a lot of things and every time they do Evie will kiss it better. (And laugh hysterically after)

• Evie will sit criss cross on the floor when she works on her puzzles, Knight will lay on their tummy beside her and hold every puzzle peas up and say "This one, this one" Waiting for her to take one from their hand.

• Knight and Eive still have their paper crane and star that they got from Isla hanging from the ceiling.

• They both love running in an open field at night then looking up at the stars after.

• The two of them watch Beth and Seer be genuinely in love with each other until they get spotted... then they run away.

• Stares at the other person when they are talking even when they are talking to someone else. (They admire one another so much, it’s so cute)

• Knight knows their left and right Evie still has a hard time with it.

• Evie is a person that never stops moving her body even when she's standing or sitting, Knight is like a pillar that Evie plays on.

CHAPTER 1. How fast things change

This story takes place after the Claire Ranger confession but long before the Calling your shifter GF audio. This took me to long but I really hope you enjoy it.

Ranger has been working earlier mornings then usual, they've been strangely distent with the people around them for a few days now to the point Diane has caught on!

It's a cold, calm Tuesday morning and on this morning you can find Miss Greene standing on the back deck, sipping her coffee, listening to the birds chirp while watching the sunrise. The soft breeze hit the wind chime which adds perfect sounds for an early morning such as this, the trees sway just a little as Miss Greene takes in a breath of cold crisp air then lets it go after a second. Dropping her shoulders in the process she's no longer so tense, she is relaxed, she isn't worried about anything or anyone, this is her moment to just be. Her eyes close as she takes in the calm aroma that she desperately needs, this is a morning that she doesn't want to waste on an endless pile of pepper work.

As she takes in each individual sound and the ray of sun hitting her face, a muffled squeal comes barreling out of the house. Claire sprung open her eyes while stumbling back and somehow not spilling any of her coffee or tripping over anything. Her breathing quickens as her right hand shoots up to the left side of her chest feeling her heartbeat in her palm, gripping her shirt ever so slightly. She tries to still her mind of possibilities but puts her cup down on the railing instead and begins making her way to the back door slow and on edge.

"Hello?" Claire asked the darkness.

She peeks her head in while keeping a majority of her body protected by the wall. Her body began to shake uncontrollably while staring into the darkened house that she knew was empty.

"Knight..Beth..Ro..Trisen? If this is a prank I swear to god you wi-" A crash echoes throughout the house but this time Claire could hear the emotions in their voice. She takes in a shaky breath then releases it, her nervous system tells her to "Run." She desperately wants to but won't let her nerves control her to do potentially the right thing or something traumatizing.

"If someone's there just say something!" Her heart beats faster the longer she stands in the threshold, she swallows back fear, her eyes dart around, then she takes a step into the den that's now grown eerily quiet. The sound of her light terrified breathing covers her own footsteps.

Claire walks as silently as she possibly can but there’s still creeks and squeaks that are give her passion away, her mind places pictures of blood, body’s, Alexander, running through the forest, heeling Knight, the cabin, the fear on everyone’s faces. They all make an appearance in her mind while her body trembles against the wall with her chest rising and falling, hoping it's not anything like that night.

She takes one more breath then pokes her head around the wall to scan the kitchen and finds.

“Isla!” Claire sighed.

"What? Oh hi Claire, I was hungry and you weren't in your room or office so I am makin myself breakfast!" Isla stated while standing on the counter holding a box of frosted flakes in one hand and a bowl in the other.

"Can I have help down? It was hard enough to get up here and I need food in my tummy ASAP!" She asked whilst not breaking eye contact.

"Ahh yeah, yeah I can help you down." Claire responds, relieved that it’s just Isla. She walks around the island over to Isla when she notices the mess on the floor and chooses not to ask any questions. As Claire is about to help Isla down her mind and her body start to come back to normal(ish).

"Wha-where's your other sock…and what are you doing here?”

"One. It's a long story. Two. Mom and dad asked Ranger if they could drop me off at the den before Ranger went to work because mom and dad didn't know that I didn’t have school today and they needed to go to work too but Ranger was acting weird on the drive over. Oh and Three. Look at this cool rock, mom sent you a text didn't you see it?”

"Right ok don't need to know. Ranger dropped you off. A text that I didn't read..perfect!" Claire repeats back to herself while placing Isla back on solid ground and slowly connects the dots one by one.

"Wait...wait what do you mean when you say Ranger was acting weird.”

"Oh you know, breathing heavily, playing with their fingers, avoiding making eye contact, can help me with the milk please. Ah didn’t want to talk about anything and I mean not even about nature, their body was tense, mumbling something about how could she or how could I, I don’t know. Um shaking their head and like they were there but not at the same time. That's what I mean." She spoke ridiculously fast for a ten year old.

Claire watches Isla walk over to the table with a spoon in her hand and still only having one sock on whilst wondering what is exactly happening. One minute she's calm and collected, another terrified, another she's relieved, another just flustered and now she's anxious and worried. A roller coaster of emotions and feelings that have taken effect on Miss Greene, she's physically resisting the urge to bolt out of the den without thinking logically. Silence fills the living and dining room, Claire reaches into her pocket to call her Ranger to check in on them but that's when "Diane" pops up on her screen.

Several minutes pass by like they were hours but Claire and Isla show up at.

“Knight, can you watch Isla for me while I take care of Hotsh-Somthing!”

"Umm?”

"I have an important situation that I must give my immediate attention to. Oh thank you, love you bye!" Claire informs as she runs away to her car as fast as humanly or shifter(ly) possible.

"How rude, you couldn't say I love you. For fuck sake, I love you and, love you are two completely different things, I agh whatever." Knight muttered with Genevieve giggling in the background.

Meanwhile in the middle of the woods lies a Park Ranger walking around mumbling uncomplicated sentences under their breath while breathing heavily with their head down, fidgeting with their hands, wrist, arm, shirt, hat, pants, stick, moss, leaves basically anything they can fidget with. Ranger has tried calming themselves with the nature around them but just like all the others attempts nothing is helping them come down from this. They have an image continuously running through their brain faster than a bird can take flight off the ground. The last time they were in the woods alone and anxious was when they ran after their best friend then later watched him die. The sound of a stick snapping makes Ranger's body tense, they know what lives in these woods, doesn't mean they want to deal with it when they are in this bad of a metal state. It’s not an animal that scares them, it's not the words that are passing around in their head that frightens them either, they have experienced what hides in the shadows, what waits the darkness to consume the light so they can manipulate. The woods have grown unpleasantly dull in sound, now they’re petrified to make even the slightest movement.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck Ranger you need to MOVE! This is not gonna be another repeat if I just move my ass.” Ranger demanded themself as panic took over their body even more than before. Another stick snaps louder, whatever is walking up on them appears to be getting dangerously close. Their vision blurs with salty tears that have suddenly formed in their eyes, their heart rate spikes with every snapping of a twig or a crunching of the leaves.Please..please don't be her, please not a vamp, please no, no not again it can’t be happening again, not her, please NOT Charlotte not after all my progress I can’t let all that go to waste! I can’t fall into her trap again. She played me like a cello, played with every part of my amygdala and controlled every one of my thoughts. I couldn't even dress the way I wanted to, I was her own personal doll that she!

“Please, I want everything to just get OUT of my head!” Ranger cried.

I was a piece of a puzzle that didn’t belong in the set she was building; she just kept me around to see if I was needed. She killed what trust I had in people to an oblivion and has made a habitat in a dark corner of my mind that I don’t dare go near. Am I need, do people to want me around at all? Am I enough am I doing the rh-

“Where are you…Ranger!” A voice in the dissents manages to slip through to Ranger as they’re in their head.

“Greene?!!” They whispered.

This is what Ranger gets Isla for her birthday!!!!!!!

I have a theory ______________________________

We know that Rachelle, Doll, Isaiah, Talia/Tanya and most (if not all) of her clan is coming to Glenwood to find Celine, and we have a suspicion for a fight to happen between Rachelle and Celine's court and the Pack (which would be interesting.) Knight as we know will do a lot for the people they love as well as care about we also know that Knight would put their life on the line for their Genevieve and the Pack but what if they put their life on the line for someone else.

I envisioned that Knight will ether try to save Ranger, Seer or Isla from someone in Rachelle's clan because Seer is an oracle who has the worst movie taste, could have a vision at any time, Ranger is an NWL who knows how to bake, fire a gun, protect Claire, Isla who is 10 knows how to drag you down by your ankles and walk away like nothing ever happened.

Ranger knows how to fight we saw that in the confession audio, Seer knows how to heel we saw that in the spending time with your werewolf auido, Isla (we don’t know much about) is grew up in a crazy Pack (and also is a child) they all can't fight a vamp one on one (that's just facts) and if they aren't careful they can very easily get killed but that's when Knight would come in to protect.

Knight would show up existed covered in blood and not exactly ready for another fight but will defend them (Ranger, Seer or Isla) with what ever energy they have left, which I feel like Knight wouldn't stand a chance if they don't have that much energy. Knight will protect and distract until Ranger, Seer or Isla gets some where safe and somehow some way Knight will get attacked from behind which makes them let out a yell/scream that ripples through the woods.

Both Evie and Claire (or Beth) will hear Knight's yell/scream and look at each other in fear and most likely Evie would go off sprinting no thinking just doing. Evie would run as fast as her lil feet can go but still shows up a little to late she will see Knight on the ground (I asume) in excruciating pain Evie being Evie will do anything to help Knight not be in pain.

Knight already wants to spend eternity with their forever so as they are on the verge of blacking out they will ask Evie to turn them and Evie will fight her iner self, argue a lil then confirm that Knight really wants this.

Then the audio ends with Evie ditting Knight's neck and the next auido is Seer saying they had a vision!!
