when cameron was 10, his parents were killed in a car accident, leaving him to be raised by his grandmother. while she was a lovely and kind woman, she was already aging and in failing health. cameron did his best to assist and care for her, but she passed just after he graduated from college.
taking care of his grandmother opened cameron's eyes to his true passion, which was the healthcare field, and taking care of people. this pushed him towards college and his major in nursing. while he'd done a little above average in high school, he flourished in college, and eventually graduated in the top 5% of his class.
