No, most of the people there were shouting and running around and I really didn't want to get unsealed paint on me. They were kind of scary actually. I'm so sorry someone jumped you! That's completely unacceptable behaviour for a con and really any situation.
They did cause quite a few problems. It's sad that a minority destroys it for the majority...
