When Cat first heard about the new survivor, she intrigued, to say the least. Dwight was at the fire with her once, cradling his arm close to his chest. All he would tell Cat is that the new lady in the red dress did NOT like being sneaked up on. Suppressing a laugh at the expense of the poor Dwight, Cat only nodded sagely. Upon closer examination of Dwight's arm, Cat didn't even think it was broken.
It was some time later that she finally met the woman in red. Others around the fire had a less than kind nickname for her, but Cat wanted to find out for herself.
It was in the forest, rain pattering down between the leaves to caress her face like a soft, cool kiss. The woman was standing with her back to Cat, that red dress like a beacon in the dark. Without meaning to, Cat tilted her head in an appreciative glance as she took in the woman's behind.
The woman went to work immediately on a generator, not aware that she was being watched. Cat slowly approached, keeping her hands low and close to her body. An unseen twig snapped under her foot, and quicker than Cat could blink, the woman had spun around. She reached for the empty holster under her arm, and Cat saw her face twist into annoyance.
Cat smiled, spreading her fingers. "Took some time for Leon to get used to, as well," she said softly. "Didn't mean to startle you. Just wanted to say hi. So." Cat paused, stopping about two feet from the woman, who was still stiff with adrenaline. "Hi, I'm Cat."
The woman waited a breath longer before allowing her stance to become less tense. She lowered her arms away from the empty holster and settled for crossing them instead. With her head held high, she raised a brow. The woman in front of her looked.. harmless for the time being. It was a bit strange that she went for a more stealth approach, but they were in a trial, so Ada couldn’t blame her too much. She did seem like another survivor, and Ada could’ve sworn she’s seen her around the campfire before; but, Ada wouldn’t let her guard down just yet. Frank had already proven to her just because someone resembles a survivor, doesn’t mean they’re one exactly. Giving a skeptical stare, she quickly wiped it away with a signature Ada smile.
“I guess I need to make it my goal to get used to it faster than our precious rookie did. The name’s Ada. I also go by the ‘Bitch in the Red Dress,’ seeing as that seems to be a popular nickname for me lately.” She gave a nonchalant shrug. The nickname itself wasn’t new to her, she just hadn’t expected for it to follow her into the fog. Perhaps she should’ve saw it coming, Ada wasn’t exactly the best at being a team player. Unfortunately for them, Ada took pride in that nickname.
Looking around, she listened to the sounds of progress coming from the generator. “Well Cat, since you decided to take the time to introduce yourself to me, you can take the time to help me out on this generator.” She jabbed her thumb towards the direction of the generator before sitting down at it. Taking the side that’ll make for an easier escape, the woman motioned for Cat to help out.
