I was going to do live video but I’m too lazy for that right now. Lol > So, my son and I were going to adopt a second black cat on Sunday. As much as I joke about being a Crazy Cat Lady, I’m pushing my limits of fur-dom at two. But my son and I want our cat to have a buddy, none the less. So off we went to pet store here on Long Island. We spotted a pretty kitty, put in the application, and … nothing. Waiting. and waiting… It got me thinking. If there are hundreds of animals that are in dire need of adoption, what’s with all the waiting? I practically wrote a novel on the page - does it take that long to call references? As a matter of fact, while we were at the pet store the first time, a couple came in and said the cats had been there for a long time already… I later spoke to the women from the adoption company on the phone, she was very nice and sounded very positive about my background. Waiting… waiting…. I think with the amount of people who are able to have children without so much as second though, what’s with the wait on a cat? These people need help.
