surprisingly enough , cat was the 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 person that kai had kept in any contact with since his sudden departure . kai wilder having a lasting friendship that didn't fade out only to appear years later before it fades once again ? either that or something he didn't purposely blow up . 𝐀 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐄 𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐓 . kai having any lasting relationship in his life was something that truly didn't come by every day or easily . that being said , his friendship with cat was seemingly 𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 . that probably having some to do with the fact that the two didn't talk about the tragedy or mystery that had taken place with his brother . something the two of them either didn't care about or ( pretended not to care about . ) ❛ just saying , we can split the cost on a hotel or some shit while we're in this shithole . ❜ kai commented as he sat in the diner with the girl . it was clear that he didn't want to be there . sure that they both had 𝐁𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑 things going on in their lives than being here right now . ❛ why waste more money when it could be split ? not like we'll be here long , right ? ❜
