These Flaming Arrow Cake Pops are inspired by The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. They're a delightful treat for fans of the series and make for a stunning addition to any themed party or gathering.
Ingredients: 1 box of chocolate cake mix. 1/2 cup of chocolate frosting. 1 package of red and orange candy melts. 1 package of lollipop sticks. Edible gold glitter. Edible black food marker.
Instructions: Follow the directions on the box to bake the chocolate cake. Allow it to totally cool down. In a large bowl, break up the cooled cake into small pieces. Mix the cake crumbs and chocolate frosting together until they are well mixed. Make little balls out of the cake mix and put them on a baking sheet that has parchment paper on it. Put a lollipop stick in the middle of each cake ball and freeze them for 30 minutes. If the package says to, melt the red and orange candy melts in separate bowls that can go in the microwave. Cover the whole cake ball with the melted candy melts as you dip each cake pop. Let the extra water run off. Return the covered cake pops to the baking sheet. To make flames, sprinkle edible gold glitter on top of the candy coating while it is still wet. Wait for the candy coating to dry. Using a black edible food marker, make arrow shapes on the cake pops that look like they are on fire. Before you serve the cake pops, let them dry and set all the way.
