It had been a relatively uneventful day as you worked quietly in your office while Dracula slept. As you dove deeper into your work, the hours seemed to pass by almost too quickly, and before you knew it night had fallen.
From outside the windowsill you heard several tiny meows as you scribbled some notes in your grimior. Looking up you saw a cat staring back at you, their eyes glowing in the darkness. With a smile, you strode over to the window and let them in. It wasnt Dracula, but actually a stray cat that you had been taking care of for quite some time. "Hello, Jinxy!" You exclaimed as the little grey cat jumped inside, landing beside you. Jinxy was the name you had given her, not knowing what else to call her.
"I'll be right back." You told her as you picked up her empty food bowl and headed towards the door. She gave you a little meow and plopped down on your chair, watching the door eagerly awaiting your return.
As you made your way back down the corridor towards your office you heard a series of loud crashes and then a loud yowl. Oh no, what had Jinxy gotten into. You sprinted down the hall and pushed open the door to find Jinxy and Dracula. "Get away from me!" He hissed at her as she purred and rubbed herself against him. You covered your mouth with your hand trying not to laugh. Jinxy must be in heat, you figured and Dracula was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
"Y/N!" Dracula sighed, noticing you. "Help me!" He pleaded.
"Jinxy, come here girl!" You called out giving her food bowl a shake, but she didn't seem to care. She had other things on her mind. She rolled over on her back, exposing her belly and began pawing at him.
"Aww, she likes you!" You teased. Dracula glared at you, apparently not amused.
Dracula jumped away and scampered across the room, hiding behind you. "But I don't like her...not like that!" He retorted.
Picking up Jinxy and placing her on your desk, you wagged your finger at her and told her, "Leave him alone." She quickly glanced over at Dracula ready to go after him again, but was distracted when you placed her bowl in front of her. She happily ate and then went on her way. The next night when she returned however, it happened all over again.
"Y/N!" You heard Dracula yell out helplessly from the next room. When you found him, he was being chased up and down the hall with Jinxy at his tail. "What do I do?!" He didn't want to hurt her. He bit humans, not innocent cats.
"Learn how to speak cat and tell her you're not interested." You remarked with a shrug. Suddenly, he leapt off the floor narrowly avoiding her and into your arms.
"Look, I'm not interested in cats and further more, I love you and only you." Dracula told you. You smiled and hugged him. That was possibly the weirdest, cutest thing he ever said.
"Okay, I'll see what I can do." You said, putting him safely down on a nearby chair.
"Oh, Jinxy. I think it's time paid the vet a little visit." You said with a sigh looking down at her, placing your hands on your hips. She tilted her head and meowed at you confusingly, not knowing the fate that awaited her the next day.
That night you kept her in one of the guest bedrooms with some food and water till morning when you would take her to the vet to have her spayed much to Dracula's relief.
When you brought her back she was tired and lay quietly down on the sofa fast asleep. Feeling kind of bad, Dracula curled up beside her and kept her company. He could be terrifying, mysterious, and sexy but he could also be surprisingly sweet. That was why you loved him.
Imagine Catcula getting mad at you and knocking your stuff off the table
Feathers and Claws
Reader is a witch and while trying to protect Catcula from Van Helsing, she ends up turning him into a bird. I was inspired to write this after watching some Sylvester and Tweety bird cartoons and hearing about how Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing loved watching them. Part of my "Misadventures of Catcula" series. Hope you like it! 😄

It had started out a quiet day with you sitting by the fireplace with Dracula on your lap, happily dozing off together while listening to the thunder softly rumbling outside. When all of a sudden there was a bang, echoing loudly throughout the halls jolting you awake.
"What was that?" You gasped, sitting up. Quickly your question was answered when Van Helsing entered the room.
"Where's Dracula?" He demanded, walking towards you. Oh boy.
"Oh, he's here." You answered with a smirk, folding your arms.
"Where?" Van Helsing asked.
"In this room."
"I don't see him." He stated confused, looking around the room. Turning back to you he shrugged, "He's not in here."
"Yes he is." Dracula answered, standing beside you.
"Dracula?" Van Helsing called out, looking around once more.
"I'm right here." Dracula told him. You bit your lip trying to refrain yourself from bursting out laughing at how silly Van Helsing looked.
"Where?" He asked once more. Dracula strode towards him and swiped at his pant leg.
"Here." He said. Van Helsing looked down and saw a black cat with large fangs and red eyes staring back at him. No, this couldn't possibly be Dracula. He thought.
"How...youre a...a cat!" Van Helsing chuckled. He couldn't believe it. His arch nemesis was a cat! "What happened?"
"I accidentally turned him into a cat. One of my spells went wrong." You answered.
"Spells? You're a witch?" Van Helsing asked, turning to you. You nodded, yes, in reply.
"Can't you turn him back?" He snorted, trying not to laugh. On the floor, Dracula wagged his tail furiously becoming more and more annoyed.
"If I could I would have already." You replied.
"Oh this is too good! Dracula, prince of darkness is stuck as a pussy cat!" He exclaimed, bursting out laughing.
That was it. Suddenly, Dracula pounced at Van Helsing digging his claws into his shoulder, his fangs inches away from his neck. "Vlad no!" You shouted, running towards them. With a yowl, Van Helsing tore him off tossing him across the room, sending him crashing into a table with a loud thud knocking it's contents all over the floor.
"Vlad!" You gasped, frozen in shock as Dracula lay unconscious before you on the floor. From his coat, Van Helsing pulled out a stake and hammer.
"If you touch him you'll regret it!" You hissed at him. Ignoring you, he walked towards Dracula who still lay unconscious, completely unaware of what was about to happen.
"I'm warning you! Stop!" You yelled, raising your hand getting ready to attack. True, you were more powerful with your wand, but you could still use your hands if you needed to...and you might.
"Van Helsing!" You cried, trying to stop him, but he wouldn't listen. Carefully he placed the stake over Dracula's heart and raised the hammer high above his head, but just before he could bring it back down he was hit in the back by a ball of purple lightning, stunning him. Slowly smoke began to engulf him and in a matter of seconds he disappeared. When the smoke cleared instead of a man, a bird stood there in his place. A small little blue and grey bird.
"Oh crap..." You grumbled. That was not what you had intended. You had only wanted to stun him, not turn him into a bird.
"How did I get down here?!" Van Helsing asked looking up at you, confused.
Bending down you answered, "I hate to tell this but you're a--"
"Bird! Hahahaha!" Dracula interupted, bursting out laughing, finally waking up.
"The great monster hunter, Lawrence Van Helsing is a bird! How ironic. How unfortunately ironic..." Dracula sniggered menacingly, his eyes gleaming with hunger.
"Vlad..." You warned, wagging your finger at him. Van Helsing gulped. Oh no. Dracula leapt at him, but he was too quick and flew out of the way. Hovering in the air he watched as vampire cat tried to swipe and jump at him unsuccessfully from below.
"Stupid cat!" He blurted.
"Stupid cat?! I'll give you stupid!" Dracula snapped charging at Van Helsing as he flew down the hall.
"Vlad no!" You screamed following them.
"Dracula! Stop!" You ordered, but he paid you no mind as he leapt about all over the room after him.
"Change me back please!" Van Helsing shrieked, narrowly dodging one of Dracula's attacks.
"I can't. If I could I would have turned Dracula back already." You told him, leaping after Dracula trying to stop him, but he was too quick.
"You mean I'm stuck like this?!" He exclaimed, flying into the kitchen with Dracula at his tail.
"Just till I can figure out a way!" You answered, running after of them, out of breath.
From the counter you saw Dracula getting ready to leap once more at Van Helsing who had taken refuge on a pot rack that hung from the ceiling. Before you could stop him, he jumped at Van Helsing knocking all the pans from the rack sending them tumbling loudly to the floor. Dracula clung onto the rack, dangling from it glaring at Van Helsing who had flown away and sat perched on top of one of the cabinets.
You ran over and quickly grabbed Dracula helping him down before he could fall, placing him carefully down on the counter. "Stop this!" You ordered, placing your hand on your hips becoming annoyed.
"No!" He refused, turning away and jumping up on the cabinet knocking over a bag of flour onto your head as he went. Pausing for a moment, Dracula looked down at you and noticed that by the look on your face you weren't at all happy.
"Ooh, that's it!" You snapped, brushing the flour out of your hair.
"Uh oh. You're in trouble now." Van Helsing teased earning himself a glare from both you and Dracula. He shrunk into his shoulders and gulped, afraid of what was to come next.
You waved your hands, tracing circles in the air muttering a spell under your breath. Suddenly, there was a loud pop and everything stopped, frozen in time except for you.
"There!" You exclaimed, proud of yourself as you waved your hand once more summoning Dracula and Van Helsing into your arms.
You brought them into the living room where you placed Dracula on a chair still frozen in position. Next, you snapped your fingers making a birdcage appear out of thin air. After putting Van Helsing inside it, you cleaned yourself off, taking a moment to calm down before finally releasing them from your spell.
"Now," you began tapping your foot. Quietly they sat and listened, not wanting to anger you further. "Either you two get along till I can figure out a way to change you back or go back to being a frozen bird and cat. Your choice." You stated sounding like a stern mother who was punishing her children.
Defeated, Dracula plopped down on the chair. "Fine." He grumbled, rolling his eyes.
"Fine." Van Helsing also agreed, turning his beak up.
"Good!" You chimed, nodding your head. "I'm going to go take a nap." You told them, turning to leave.
"And Vlad," Dracula lifted his head up and looked over at you. "Van Helsing better be there when I get back." You warned him. He huffed and placed his head back down.
"Yes, Y/N." He groaned. How he hated being a cat...
