Workin' Moms foi criado e produzido por Catherine Reitman que também estrela a série.Em Workin' Moms quatro jovens mães atravessam as adversidades da maternidade enquanto tocam suas vidas. Cada uma delas representa um arquétipo diferente de maternidade e de identidade feminina. Kate, Anne, Frankie e Jenny, cada uma de uma maneira diferente e em circunstâncias diferentes, enfrentam os desafios da maternidade como a dificuldade de se conectar com seus bebês, o impacto no relacionamento amoroso, o isolamento e o retorno ao trabalho. Roteiro, direção e atuações são fantásticos. O seriado toca em vários temas relevantes com bastante reflexão e, ao mesmo tempo, diverte muito. Catherine Reitman criou a série baseada em sua própria experiência com depressão pós-parto. No elenco está seu marido na vida real, Philip Sternberg que faz seu marido no seriado, Nathan.
