Good afternoon, my beloved friends and family, and welcome back to another Serious Life Update. Grafton has had a setback in his recovery process, and has been returned to CC Main Campus for surgery today. He has apparently/maybe blown a brain gasket and has unfortunately sprung another leak of cerebrospinal fluid. This is very disheartening, as he had been making rather good progress up until now. We ask that all hospital visits be postponed until further notice. However, Grafton definitely could use some love, good wishes, and cheering up; feel free to post them here (I’ll show them to him,) or message him via FB or text. However, he may be unable to respond in a timely fashion, so I recommend you start your message by saying “No reply necessary” so as not to pressure him. Next update as circumstances warrant; here’s hoping we’ll be back on track soon. Good evening, my dearest friends and family, and welcome back to another Serious Life Update! I know you’ve all been anxiously awaiting news updates about Grafton, so I’m very pleased to let you all know that he’s doing pretty well, all things considered. Jer and I got to spend an hour with him this evening, and while he’s definitely exhausted and certainly uncomfortable and in pain, he’s begun slowly pulling himself back together and he’s looking forward very much to being well again. (Hospital beds are very unfun when you’re 6’6”, for example.) He left ICU a few days ago, was in a step-down room for like a minute, and is now in a regular inpatient ward before transferring to a inpatient rehab facility (with longer beds, yay!) hopefully next week. Hooray! We are still following the good timeline, and so far we’re on pace to have him back home for the new year. Everything is ok for now; so far, so good, so now we just wait. Thank you all for your good thoughts and generous offers of aid and assistance. It means a lot to all of us, but especially it means a great deal to Grafton, to know that our friends are wonderfully thoughtful people who are ready to lend a hand when needed. You are deeply appreciated. Next updates as circumstances dictate.
