In the theme of wedding-talk may I tell you about the sickest wedding I ever attended? Apologies for how long this is going to be and I know this is going to sound like a "and everyone clapped" type story but I can provide photo evidence If necessary.
It was a few years ago for an acquaintance and her fiancé and the invitation was like absolutely gorgeous, extremely ornate, like a red coffin, opening to the rest of the invitation, glitter- Halloween wedding.
It took place at a theater (I actually had my senior prom there, it is a very nice venue), my date and I roll up, it's decorated to the 9's atmospheric spooky music, just incredible- half the guests are in halloween costumes, amazing.
Jaycee, key detail, I'll be honest I didn't fully grasp before hand is that the bride and groom are Satanists. Like actual satan worshipping satanists, not like ironic left-wing "satanist" activists, actual hand to god (or hand to Lucifer rather) sincere satan worshippers. (or I guess they worship themselves because they think worshipping a god or satan is like subserviant but like whatever you get the picture)
The wedding was officiated by a representative of The Church of Satan. They did a Satanic ceremony with chants and gongs and candles and "in the name of" various idk deities ("to the east, to the west" etc)
Her gown was custom made, she looked absolutely stunning.
They played a wedding video in which the bride was acting as some kind of goddess and her husband was killing all their friends in honor of her (with special effects and everything)
They then had an aerial arts performing group perform for us- another terrific show- and finally for the dancing portion of the night it was mostly heavy rock music with various horror movie scenes playing behind on a massive screen.
Anyway definitely a once in a lifetime experience that I still think about on a regular basis. I can only imagine how much it cost. I chatted with the vendors and was like, "have you ever been to a wedding like this" and they were like, "Obviously not"
No disrespect at all here it was truly one of a kind, I wish them a lifetime of happiness.
And that's what you missed on Glee :p
