if you had told the me that was petrified of coming out as trans at my undergrad institution in the canadian prairies that one day i'd be a doctoral student reading course evals for my tutorials in ontario and every single one of those evals would use my pronouns correctly and without making a big deal of it, i probably would have cried

today is my 29th birthday!

yesterday I made the mistake of updating microsoft word right before sitting down to start drafting a dissertation chapter and spent the rest of the afternoon trying to figure out how to turn off (or, preferably, obliterate) the AI the update put on my screen. with no success. I’ve tried like 6 different online suggestions and emailed my university’s IT (since my copy of word is licensed through them). i’ve started fantasizing about shooting the copilot logo with a gun.
