I haven't seen a post about this so here is a thing...
During Friday's Plenary Session at the Creating Change Conference in Denver young activists from Ferguson were given a measly 5 minutes to speak. They decided to say hell no to that and took nearly a half an hour instead. At one point Ashley Yates called all of the black trans people on to the stage where we could address the audience and let them know that Black Lives Matter and that means all Black Lives not just the cis straight men. It was dope and powerful taking that space and time and making it our own.
