Tommy has always been more of a dog person. But the moment that little kitten turns its head and looks up at you, orange ears all floppy and eyes all big, he knows it’s over.

You click your tongue and kneel down to scratch it behind the ears, cooing sweet little praises as it rubs up against your legs, long tail curling around your calf. “Oh my God,” you mutter. “He’s so cute!”

“He sure is, baby,” Tommy agrees. “Now c’mon. Gonna be late for our reservations.”

But you don’t listen, because you never do—and so Tommy is stuck standing there, ten feet away from the restaurant he’s been dreaming about for two days now, watching you pet this little kitten and knowing damn well what you’re gonna ask even before you say it.

“Sweet angel,” you murmur, voice high pitched in the same way you speak to smiling babies that wave at you in the grocery store. “Do you have a home, cutie? No collar? Aww…how sad…”

Tommy sighs when you lean fully on your knees and the kitten crawls right into your lap as if it’s where it belongs.

“He looks like a toasted marshmallow,” you say, giggling. “We could call him Toast! Toast Miller. Isn’t that cute?”

He shakes his head. “Don’t go namin’ him now. S’a bad idea and you know it—”

All it takes is one look.

You stare up at him through your lashes, a pleading sort of look in those pretty, starry eyes and Tommy knows he’s fucking done for.

Thinks to himself, ‘welcome home, toast,’ but shakes his head and says, “Nuh-uh. Don’t you even start.”

“Tommy he’s so sweet! And we can keep him inside!”

“Baby, he could belong to someone close by—”

“But he doesn’t have a collar!”

“An’ he’s probably covered in fleas—”

“I’ll clean him up, I promise!”

“Will need all kinds of vaccinations to fly him back to Texas and—”

You reach up and take your hand in his, bottom lip jutting out into a dramatic pout that has him fighting for his damn life.

“Christ,” he hisses, running a hand down his face. “Let’s get dinner first, okay? An’ we’ll see after that.”

It takes a minute or two, but you kiss the kitten on its forehead ten times and then stand to your feet.

And God damn it, the thing fucking follows you. Walks between your legs, tail curling, weaving between the two of you and prancing to keep speed.

To make matters worse—it waits just outside the restaurant. And you stare at him through the window, barely eating, saying things like, “Didn’t you say you and Joel were gonna build a barn for all your tools? Isn’t it good to have a barn cat? Just look at him! Look at that face and tell me he isn’t the cutest thing you’ve ever seen.”

Unfortunately, Tommy does find him quite adorable.

Which is why, as you step outside the restaurant and give him those pleading eyes again, he feels his restraint splinter and crack. You say, “Pretty please, Uncle Tommy?”

And it does him in. He’s never been good at telling you no.

He doesn’t even have to say anything. Just lets out a lengthy sigh and a lighthearted laugh. Finds joy in the excited way you squeal and giggle and scoop Toast up to cradle him in your arms.

You spend the last day of your honeymoon at the veterinary office, getting him checked over and vaccinated and cleaned up. Purchase food and water bowls and a pet carrier and a goddamn passport for a fucking cat.

But once you’re home, snuggled up in bed with your ice cold feet pressed against his thighs and that glittering wedding ring on your finger, Toast climbs up and lays on Tommy’s chest, curling himself into a little circle.

You smile all big and gently stroke his soft fur, your small fingers moving in the same pattern that Tommy’s are against your scalp. You pet Toast, and Tommy pets you, and you say, “Don’t lie. You love him.”

He laughs and admits, “Yeah, I guess I do.”

But the truth is that he loves you.

CC!! Aaaaaahhhh! It was so good!! I’m still processing!! Louis started off a bit cool and distant and didn’t say much but the energy, enthusiasm and adoration of the entire crowd soon saw him in a hilarious mood. He had so many interactions, and seeing Louis giggle while singing is something I’ll always remember from last night. My mom and I were at the back of pit, right in the middle 3 persons away from that central barricade. The whole crowd was into the music and while it was a festival, I think everyone was there for Louis - so his comment that it’s not his show was an interesting reminder. It felt like a Louis concert, with a festival set list. What a set list. Banger after banger! HOTH as the fourth song was a fun surprise. I looooved the energy of Drag Me Down (the 1D songs were definitely a hit with the crowd but this one in particular), straight into JHO and then High in California. It was such a fun ride! I had a little giggle myself at “this is Face the Music” and thought of you 😇. Copy of a Copy was emotional and the crowd was loooud. The seamless transition to Walls put me through the wringer. And after that it felt like a whirlwind of jumping, singing, not wanting it to end but knowing the end is coming. I will keep this Saturdays in my heart, it was beautiful. And for Silver Tongues it felt like he didn’t want it to end either, he was on stage kicking the beach ball just before he came down to barricade. And eeeeeek, he really did come down the super narrow path in the middle of the crowd, right to the back. It was pure chaos, with red streamers and fireworks happening too… and it wasn’t a barricade he could jump up, so I just saw his head bop by and a flash of an arm. It must’ve felt like a car wash in there with arms from both sides. 😂 My bracelets found happy new owners, making me happy too. VIP Angie @persephoneflouwers and her sister were integral to my experience too, providing updates from a bird eye perspective of the fest throughout the day. 🫶🫶 And our fun times prior to the fest will remain favourite Istanbul memories too! I absolutely loved the visuals on the big main and 2 side screens. I knew some of them from livestreams but some felt new to me or hit differently when the are massive and in front of you. The 1-second lag was unfortunate but ultimately ok. It was warm with a breeze, Steve didn’t have to wear a tshirt, the site was seaside and Louis had a fabulous view of the illuminated Blue Mosque behind us. Crowd size felt smallish, pit (officially called front of stage) had about as many people in it as general admission. I’m glad he said he was pleased with the turnout… I was worried he might not be. Oh and Louis calling some dude giving him the middle finger dickhead and daft wasn’t on my bingo card… he was in full Tommo form, quick and biting. He never did end up doing his vodka shot with the good girl. And the moon, a tiny sliver of it was out, as were a few bright stars. I could go on and on. I DONT FEEL LIKE GOING HOME!!!

Hey doll! I love your recolors they're so cute. Im fairly new to recoloring, I've only done simple colors before. I was wondering if you have any tutorials you could recommend for patterns? I normally use Gimp but if you don't have any that's okay!! Thank you for your time anyway dear! 💕

Hi sweetie! First, thank you so much for being so kind ❤ It makes me happy to hear that you like my recolors.

I make them with Krita and PhotoScape. Unfortunately I don’t use Gimp and I don’t know if there’re tutorials for that. In my case, I couldn’t find any tutorials for Krita, but I use Krita for a long time for digital painting, so I learned myself to do recolors here. 

If you want I can (try😅) to make a tutorial with Krita myself. I would be happy if I can help. By the way, Krita is 100% free. What do you think? Have a nice day dear! ❤

Who is better; Max or Nikki?

Nerris: Nikki is super cool!!! She’s the best warrior in any party I’ve ever had. I hate to admit it, but I’m a little jealous of how brave she is. She really isn’t afraid of anything. Max is okay too, but I don’t know him as well.
