Yup that’s the truth! When you pay that much for a game it’s reasonable to not want to have to worry about losing progress all the time. And it’s reasonable to feel upset if you do lose progress. Doesn’t mean we don’t care about what’s going on in the world!

Exactly! We still have our own lives to live and wanting an escape for a bit from the hell that’s going on doesn’t mean we don’t care.

last anon is dumb. people are allowed to cry over they care about, and caring about one thing doesnt diminish your care for other things. plus, sometimes literal historical events can be hard on people, and playing animal crossing is a good way to get away from it for a little while. if you lost that thing that was calming you down and making you feel happy when such a scary thing is happening, wouldnt you cry too?

This is exactly it! For a lot of us, I think ACNH is our little escape. I know for me personally it’s helped a lot because it’s such a calming game and gives me something to look forward to. So yeah the thought of losing my island definitely made me feel even more anxious.

What was the point of sending me this? To make me feel bad? To make yourself feel superior?

It might come as a susprise, but most of us can care about more than one thing at a time. If I had lost my island I was gonna be upset. No, it wasn’t the end of the world, but I was still going to be upset about it. The pandemic crisis happening doesn’t suddenly mean every single person stops having problems of their own. And we’re allowed to be upset about things that we’re dealing with, even if others might not think those things are a big deal in the scheme of what’s going on.

Basically, stop trying to make it a competition and start sending anon love instead of anon hate. ✌🏻
