Mary (Clover) Armstrong , Does Insurance from home and takes care of the house. Loving, stressed, energetic, and a bit dense. Wears the pants in the relationship. Mary’s goals is to have her family happy and healthy. She also likes to explore many hobbies.
Spencer Armstrong , Firefighter who works a lot. Makes dinner and outside work . Quiet, strong, boring to an extent, distant. Spencer struggles with being involved with his kids, and try’s in his own .. way.
Mary and Spencer’s relationship is a twist on the stereotypical house wife and working husband. Instead of the Husband being in charge it’s the Wife. Mary makes most of not all decisions in a happy go lucky way . She doesn’t get walked over , unlike her husband . This causes Mary to be extremely stressed with her family since she’s pulling all the weight , trying to accommodate for all her kids and her husband.
Mary and Spencer are both Allistic with 3 Autistic kids ( Mac , Sawyer, and Neil Jr) so it can be a struggle to find what her kids need. They are all on different levels on the spectrum , Neil Jr being the only one they can see is “Special”.
Mary and Spencer don’t always see eye to eye on every issue , causing them to argue a lot. She tries to keep downlow , not wanting it to cause her kids any more stress, but with Spencer’s attitude it makes it difficult to do. She is very emotional and Spencer is very unemotional, causing a lot of riffs.
His name is Spencer Armstrong ! He’s in his mid 30s and got married straight out of highschool to his wife Mary :)) He’s very laid back , but is very emotionally distant .
