( @ccjennie ).
to say nayeon wasn’t excited would be a lie.
it had been a little while since she’d last seen jennie, a fellow card, and dear friend she’d known from their dark days sealed within the first book so long ago. the venus card found herself coming to know the other during those times, and from then on, she was a trusted friend and ally. nayeon could say with certainty that life would be a little less fun if not for the other's presence ( even if she did have more of a sweet spot for humans than nayeon ever could ).
however, for a much as nayeon cared for the other, her own activities made it harder for them to meet up as often as they’d like. she missed those times, and when there was finally a chance to meet, nayeon had sprung the idea on jennie right away— she had a lot of interesting things to talk with her about.
they’d agreed on a local coffee shop, one with great pastries and a decent amount of privacy between tables ( a good place to exchange things without much fear of someone over hearing them ). in her excitement, she’d arrived a good 10 minutes early, cursing herself in her eagerness. she was happy, but didn’t want to seem like a child to someone who’s known her for ages. she sighed, taking a seat at an empty table, waiting.
