tweet from conor after the 2016 texas crash where josef got injured:
"jo"... whats the deadmau5/josef relationship...
this man literally cannot be stopped
Conor: [...] I actually mentioned it to my spotter in the middle of the race, but there was one restart where you were in front of me, you were almost involved in a crash. Conor and Alex simultaneously: With Ed Carpenter. Conor: I had front row seats to potentially Ed Carpenter wiping Alex Palou out of the race. You guys actually made contact. I watched it happen! [...] There was a ton of cars. I still ended up passing like twelve cars on that restart which was absurd, but it was helped because Ed moved you out of the way for me! [...] Alex: [...] I was braking, downshifting to try to avoid it and I couldn't do much and I could see cars passing by. I was like, no! I think you went past, Malukas went past and somebody else went past... And I was like, I hope I don't crash. I hope I don't crash. [...] I was so glad because that was a moment we were like this [pinches fingers together] to just crash and create a big mess. Conor: I thought he literally just slid up into you just a bit and I was like, [puts hands on head] oh man. Opened up the door for me perfectly! Alex: Oh yeah, for you it was good. Conor: I told my spotter, I was like, hey, you make sure to tell Alex good job not crashing back there. I don't think that message was probably shared with you, but I wanted to make sure you knew that it was an impressive situation there. [...] Alex: I'm glad that somebody saw that. Conor: I did! And I'm going to try to find the onboard clip of it because it was really exciting.
