You're welcome and I think we've all fallen in love with him at least a little bit 🥰 And I'm also pretty new here (joined in the beginning of this year) so I wasn't "there" and I'm not exactly an expert. No one really knows what happened (or if anything even happened for sure) but we observed a few strange things. So after the second tlsp tour in 2016 they were very rarely seen with each other, then both released albums in 2018 that responded to each other in a lot of ways and while miles kinda made an equally angry and sad breakup album with Coupe de Grace (with a cover in bisexual colours no less 👀), Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino is desperately sad in a lot of ways and Alex talks about regret and lost love in it a lot. Go figure 🙂 Then Miles joined Arctic monkeys for 505 in 2018 three times (I think) and it seemed pretty normal, but when Alex joined Miles onstage for Standing next to me at La Cigale (just hearing it gives us ptsd, and i don't exactly know the timeline of this) it felt all wrong, they seemed very awkward and uncomfortable with each other, it was all very forced, especially the cheek kiss 🫠 Some say it's only natural after they haven't performed together as much etc but to me it totally looks like there's something wrong and changed. According to some people it's because Louise (Al's current girlfriend) was backstage and maybe not as chill with them acting all lovey-dovey or something, I don't know and I won't wanna open the can of worms that is Louise. After that they were really rarely seen together in public, but that doesn't mean they didn't meet in private and Miles, when asked in interviews, makes it seem like they were meeting up and playing each other their new music etc. so who knows? We've basically guessed most of it from the awkwardness in 2018, their lyrics from that year onwards and other "hints" like Miles not ever acknowledging Louise, he doesn't seem to like her, we don't know if he ever even met her, and he was always really good friends with Al's past gfs. The common theory is that Miles and Alex were a couple, at least during the 2016 tour, if not before, and then had a falling out of some kind. Hope that kinda gives you an overview.
