Ok. So this bathroom is finally finished. It was gutted back in May - so let's just say it took a long time. Originally I was going to build the vanity, but that didn't end up panning out. Instead I bought a damaged vanity from Lowe's and painted it green and installed the hardware, sink and faucet that I would have used in the other vanity, had I built it. I built the recessed shelving unit when I realized there were zero storage options. The trim has been painted three times. I finally settled on a satin black paint for the doors and trim. Shower is tiled in large matte white(ish) hexagons with pewter colored grout. Floor is tiled in a wood-look large format tile. Wallpaper is from hygge & west (again). Lights are from cedar moss and schoolhouse electric. I'M SO GLAD THIS IS FINSHED. After many days, long hours and what seemed like never-ending frustrations and setbacks - this little tiny bathroom is FINALLY finished. This was a tiny bathroom covered in pink tile, had a pink corner sink and a shower that felt like a coffin. Even though it's a small space, it was difficult to design. I wanted it to feel less cramped and lighter than it had been in the past. We took out the header above the shower to open it up and installed a light. I chose an amazing cedar & moss fixture for over the mirror and was super stoked that the IKEA sink fit into that little nook perfectly. Ive been using Hygge & West wallpaper since we moved into our first home in 2009, so whenever I have the opportunity to remodel a room, I always check to see what's available and what will work for my design. When I saw the Tudor houses design, I knew it would be perfect for this super small space. The sliding door took ten times longer than it should have, but turned out well enough. Maybe someday down the road it'll get stained (but I am SO done with that door for now). I'm so happy this bathroom is done and turned out exactly how I was hoping it would.
