“She’s back?!”

Cheshire was crouched on top of his hands, visibly shaking with his hairs up on edge. He wasn’t one of Violate’s fans.

    It was surreal watching them all, unique as they were, train and fight like this. The underworld was cold, barren, lifeless, but still it was jarringly familiar to his past life, the life he threw away. He still wasn’t used to the sensation of being alive again. His body still felt like he should be dead from Shion’s attack. 

Shion... And Yuzuriha. 

It made him ache far worst than he had before. He didn’t feel regret for what he did and tried to do, but something ached. He was still unable to stop himself from watching quietly, clinging to memories that were best left forgotten.

    What really caught his eyes was this woman.

Tall, powerful, a dark-haired warrior. And covered in scars from head to toe. He hadn’t even realized she was a girl when he first saw her in her surplice, but looking at her now...

His sister would be like that, wouldn’t she? Covered in scars and callouses, rough and cold, no vestige of the carefree beauty he used to see in her. Yuzuriha would surely die in this war. This was what she chose. For Shion’s sake? For Athena’s?

He sighed quietly.

Every Little Thing

She’s late.

Deadly Beetle could handle a mission like this on his own already, he didn’t need to be paired up with another specter. Especially one who was still wet behind the ears. The Celestial Solitude Star should live up to her title and be some loner.

He was getting seriously annoyed by now.

This would be their first mission together.

And she was keeping him waiting.

He growled impatiented and tapped his foot. He’d be FINISHED by now if he didn’t have to wait on her. What was so great about the behemoth, anyway? She’d been around for how long? He didn’t know, he didn’t pay attention to her. Not long, that was for sure. A month? More? Less?

“If that behemoth doesn’t show up already, I’m reporting to her previous Lord Aiacos that she’s just some AWOL soldier...” he grumbled loudly.
