They have the same job!
so cute the crossover, boku no hero academia x cell at work
Sorry for the delay as today I had to go to my relative's funeral and my late father's birthday. (It's taking a toll which is why this is late) So anyway it's that time where I do my weekly opinion of today's new episode of Hataraku Saibou/Cell at Work "Erythroblasts and Myelocyte" (well gladly they put the word Erythroblasts back instead of Red Blood Cell) after finishing watching it and omg it's really the cutest.
So they added the Enucleation of Erythroblasts in the beginning after AE-3803 had lost her way as usual that ended up with her being back to her childhood home, the Red Bone Marrow.
Then we get to the flashback when Red was young. First all that this nurse seems to be nicer and have the soft look here compare to the manga.
Why am I saying that? It's because the nurse said that Ery will grow up to be a dummy which is definitely that's a bit mean to say as she's saying that by judging her appearance. I mean how would she really know if Ery isn't capable to do the other job in the future even it's true in the future. She's just a small Progenitor Cell. I'm not surprised that they didn't added that dialogue to the anime.
I always assumed that the default traits that is seen of the Hematopoietic Stem Cells (like T-Cells are like the jocks, WBC are looking menacing, Macrophage are like the maid and ladylike and etc.) are grouchy and tired with this kids stuff based on the other pic. (I know not everyone is like that)
Moving on we see Ery and her classmates practicing their delivering the oxygen skills. Unfortunately for Ery she gets lost in the makeshift blood circulation in which makes her feel dizzy. Luckily Macrophage reassures her that she'll eventually get the hang around of it.
The next lesson they're learning is how to run away from the bacteria. Can I say that how I appreciate much of this Neutrophil with him being such polite and a soft person. And can we see this Erythroblast again in the future for offering out our little Ery to run away together from the bacteria (despite that didn't happen)
I'll just jump to the part where everyone anticipating which is Myelocyte came to the rescue. Even though he didn't successfully defeat the bacteria, he defended Ery just like what White Blood Cells job are.
I really love how they both determine to stay alive and fighting so that they could have a chance to grow up becoming the awesome Red Blood Cell and White Blood Cell someday.
Unfortunately there's a miss opportunity in the anime which I'm really sad about. I'm sure that if anyone who watches the anime exclusively will be a bit mad that the scene where Ery and Myelo crying while holding their hand together. I know this episode is already cute enough but it wouldn't hurt for them to add this.
I guess that's the end of the episode right? Oh the usual bumper just came out. Isn't that usually appear when the episode is half of its story.
Let me check how many time we had left in this episode. Apparently we get 8 minutes and 30 seconds left. I wonder what story is there more?
Oh wait a minute...
Isn't this the another highly anticipated chapter.....
What the heck? I'm genuinely suprise to see this happening at the same episode as "Erythroblast and Myelocyte". Tune in the next post which is Part 2 of this blog. (It'll probably take a day or two)
Cell at work!
Macrofago <3
Okay so I watched Anime America review of Cell at Work! as it pop up in my recommendation (I just like to see people's reactions and review of the show) and it's very biased honestly like pretty much half of the video is talking about Cancer cell.
They are a few remarks that honestly makes me roll my eyes.
Who asked for this? (The heck? Why not as it's educational and accurate at least plus the main art style isn't too moe as we usually see in this type of anime. Also there’s tons of gjinka anime like that horse, minotaur, animals, monsters, countries, weapons, tanks and ships)
Why is this popular? (Every point she list for the elements on why this show attracted fans is accurate from the bloody action sequence and platelets being cute as heck except when she says about AE-3803 with the small remark of "mostly because of her outfit". Like really seriously -_- ? We watch the show because RBC's outfit and not I don’t know her PERSONALITY.
You shouldn't do when personify these kinds of things with human emotion. (What's wrong giving cancer cells a sympathetic and tragic backstory? This is a story about anthropomorphic cells that are like a real life person. Of course he must have a tragic backstory as other cells have their own backstory so why not him? Plus it's not like people going to be like "Oh man poor cancer cells. From now on we must let our cancer cells live and die for him uwu" after watching the cancer cells arc. People are sympathize the character's tragedy and not the real stuff. In the end his characters needs to die anyway. I mean put in his shoes that you were born as a mistake and needed to be killed because of it. You just want to live like the others. (God this reminds me of my country's social problem that were peaked a few years ago of baby dumping) Simply to say this they weren't ask to be like this. The issue of him looking hot shouldn't really be bother like he's a mutated cell so he retains a bit of his cell part. And people just ship (WBC and CC) them as characters only plus when it's never okay to selfship a problematic character. Yeah they drew it in rule 34 but that's their business and enjoyment. I couldn't care less really.)
At least CC in Osmosis Jones is evil because he wants to destroy the body (I admit that I never watch Osmosis Jones before but it seems to me by her description that he's evil because he is evil. Man that's straight up boring for an antagonist for a series like this. You want CC as an evil generic mustachio villain? I see some of comments suggesting for him to be a infected zombie which I also kinda disagree as if he were a zombie he won’t have characterization much.
I do understand why she’s uncomfortable with CC and hate it with a few people she’s close has it. I too hate CC as my late father past away because of it (pancreatic cancer) and to this day I’m still grieving and regret much not spending time with him as I thought he would be okay after a month or two (I was naive as I never knew or told he got cancer). But I don’t think CC is an insult to people who suffer or lost their loves one by it. For one in my opinion he’s also suffering it too.
Sorry for the lengthy rant and the messy writing. I know she had the right to drop the anime with her own personal reason but to make a review about the show that are heavily biased can affect people not watching it and presumes that those who like the anime is a “CC sympathizer”. This is like saying people who like Hetalia is a “Nazi sympathizer” as the main characters of the show are the Axis Power (I know the Allies are also the main characters)
Sidenote: I really laugh at this (not the disease of course as it's horrible and not the idea of platelets being killed) as it reminds of that one star wars theory (although I don't really like to see the channel anymore as the creator's constant dissatisfaction of the last movie and seems to me became those "fanboys" in other videos) Crap now I suddenly want a star wars crossover with cells at work despite how bizarre it is. If she wants death so much she should read Cell at Work Black! (It’s more uncomfortable for me to read as I don’t like nudity but I kept reading to see the fate of the cells)
As very late part 2 from my last post. I really don't like delaying writing this but life has it's way to keep me busy to the point I just watched the episode 7 today. Still I'm determined to write it and let's begin with something minor that's been bothering my mind. I was supposed to bring up in the last post but it completely slipped past my mind.
Why is Ae-3803 is the only blood cell to have red hair? Do they also have the same hair genetic concept with us humans? Although it kinda align with the typical spot the main character situation. (Just realized that how off these two Erythroblast beside her especially those eyes)
So that's out of a way we resume to the next chapter which is the Cancer cell arc.
Natural Killer Cell first debut in the anime. My first impression of her is "Wow look at those muscles!"
And so it begins the rivalry (and ship) between NK cell and T Killer cell.
They cut of the part where T Killer cell get hit by an upcoming cart when NK cell stops her track purposely while T Killer cell continuously walk unbeknownst about it. This scene indicates and gives us hints about NK's upcoming power with her always like to laugh.
Which is why they ended up fighting.
Bonus picture of poor Red blood cells falling on the ground for being in the way of their fight.
So they skip to the bad omen part (they put it in the next episode) and straight to the cell system apartment.
And they split into two groups to find the virus with NK cell taking Simple Cell with her leaving T Killer cell and U-1146 to be grouped together.
But actually it was her plan all along to be alone with Simple Cell as he is what he isn't seems to be leaving us a cliffhanger for the next episode "Cancer cell".
Sorry for the late review 😅 folks!
This kinda bugs me a bit....
That some of the comments section that I see from where I usually watch the show bring up that they're watching this because of the cute platelets. I know that you can watch a show because a specific character but I feel like they didn't even like the show as a whole honestly which kinda bums me but I get it because it's a educational anime as some people just want to watch for fun (which is why some people are into watching cute girls doing cute stuff)
Well here's some comments I'm talking about.
I'm not going to people gating who want to watch this series for the cute platelets heck my first attraction to the show after being told by my lil sister that said she ships Ae 3803 and U 1146 from the manga (yeah she was reading it after watching the first episode), I saw the cute platelets scene which I immediately watch the first and second episodes. (yeah I was late a week) It's just ashamed that people might drop the series faster because the platelets appearance isn't really a lot to satisfy to those who watching for them. (But if they stay then I would think they absolutely will love Erythroblasts and Myelocytes if they adapt it which I think it will)
