Eggman’s takeover was quicker than the omochao had given him credit for. In only a few short months, he had managed to get the world under his thumb. Chaos and destruction reined... Kuro thought it fitting. Impressive, even. 

But admiration was not her priority right now. It had been several weeks prior that she had glimpsed the culprit of these attacks: The one person that seemed to be the actual threat to the mobians’ resistance. Even from afar, there was an odd sense of familiarity that Kuro couldn’t quite place. It was this feeling that had the small omochao scouring a recently ravaged town in the hopes that she might come across him and perhaps find some answers.

Her heart would ache, wanting to help him but at the same time trying not to be overly optimistic and run him off. Even if it was just one encounter they had had a long time ago, it was enough for her to draw him to her. Her eyes would scan the grass below them.   "I want you to stay with me for a little while," she finally said to him, "I'm not asking of you to stay forever. The way you life and the way I life are different but, it won't be the thing that will drive us apart. Be it that encounter we had along time ago, I still hold dear to my heart. I do not expect one to stay the same since that day. I do not expect you to change in an instant. You can't control it. I get it. I may not understand because it's never happened to be before, but I still miss you." She looks up at him.   "Please humor me. At least for a day. Or until sunset. I want to be able to spend time with you once more. You may not see the value in you, but I do. Please... at least until sunset."

Another day, another uninvited guest showing up on the god's doorstep. Heavens above, was there no safe haven away from these nuisances? The God couldn't so much as sit at his altar without being pestered by some new face surely come to upset him and no other reason.

This one was odd, not like the many others who came by. Sensing his own energy radiating from the being was no small bit irritating already, but where looks might have failed to give it away the creatures presence certainly did not. This thing was no mortal- it was something else. This idea the God found troubling- quite ironically -and would not settle for merely pestering them like he had the previous two visitors.

No, for this one he elected, albeit hesitantly, to speak. Sitting atop the shine glaring rage at the lower tenrec he spat, "What do ye here? Speak, then be gone."

         “Poet…” Sardonyx muttered, before picking the sad kitten up and setting him upon her lap. Giving him a few comforting pets, she then sighed wearily. “I’m sorry, I haven’t been here much. I’ve been a bit busy with work.” At those words an idea soon entered her head, and countenance regarded her tiny roommate with a small smile. “Tell you what, I’ll see if my boss will be all right with me bringing you to the bookstore someday. Then you’ll have plenty of people to interact with; would that help, little guy?” she asked, gently scratching underneath his chin.

{Celticcangel: SR3} He meow but... its pretty clear he is just imitating a cat, even though Poet is trailing far behind atm. This seems to be a greeting in substitute for a usage of the English language.

         Honestly Brennt was INCREDIBLY fortunate that Sardonyx had emotion-detecting capabilities, because if she didn’t countenance would have regarded him with blatant suspicion. However since that wasn’t the case, once sights landed upon him and Poet tan lips formed an amused grin whilst eyes rolled in response, as a playful gesture.

         “Brennt, we’re not cats.” she chuckled.

         “Ah, Mark you stinker!” the little girl laughed, as she was being drenched by her hoofed friend’s splashes. It had been about a year, since Sardonyx visited the sea and encountered Xarach. Time had left its imprint on the now six-year-old meddler, as her quills had grown in length creating a minor blossoming effect behind cranium. At her shrieks the small, antelope boy smirked.

         “Bet you can’t splash, better than I can.” he boasted.

         At his confident statement lips smiled whimsically, and she gave him a dismissal wave of her gloved hand. “Mark, please. I’m the only one with the merhog mommy here.” she declared, before throwing a heap of water in her friend’s direction. Spiraling into another fit of laughter once more, the kids were having too much fun to notice another individual watching them.
