The Technicalities Of Style Fashion Story
Bruce Brown: fashion: stylist - (Korto Momolu SS24) Cesar Galindo SS24 -CUCINA W.57th St. NYC
This particular look is a combination of pieces that I paired from Korto Momolu's spring/summer 2024 collection. I also styled the collection for New York Fashion week. I chose to pair this large kimono with a lace Agbada top. I paired it as a male interpretation of something we initially styled as a female look for the opening of the collection.
The Agbada top is like a tunic but a much larger version of it. it gives volume, and a little bit of pleating in different places. Also the fact that it's lace allows it to breathe in the summer time. So even if it's a little warm outside you can still wear volume, and have the layering options, but it's not hot. It's just a mater of understanding the technicalities, and how to work it all into it. The look is absolutely amazing, it wears very comfortably. For me, it's highly functional. I look to always pair those things ; texture, contrast, and functionality. In a sense it's kind of an everyday editorial. I'm giving people an understanding that fashion is gender fluid. You can wear any piece you want based whatever inspires you. Whatever you want to wear, Just make it happen; be authentic, be consistent.
