Five facts about my best friend:
SHE IS HAVING A BABY T O D A Y. SHE IS IN LABOR AS I TYPE THIS. she messaged me at 4:30 this morning letting me know and I have been vibrating with it all day and I can’t wait to go see her and the new baby boy once he comes!
she knows how to dress herself/do makeup & hair very well. approximately half of the clothes in my closet are hand-me-downs from her and it’s easily the more stylish half of my closet.
we were put together randomly as roommates our freshman year of college and continued living together for almost five years until she dumped me for her husband. we still generally see each other at least once a week.
she has many fabulous and enviable qualities outside of her stylishness, including her ability to find the most sensible solution to situations, her generosity, her excellent taste in music and shows, and her sense of humor. I’m also a huge fan of the fact that she gets annoyed by the same stuff as me so then we can sit and be judgmental together. this is a very important quality in a best friend.
we’re a great balance as far as talkativeness goes, because I prefer to mostly listen and then jump in when I feel like I have something worthwhile to contribute, whereas she can talk nonstop for hours but knows how to shut up and listen when it’s somebody else’s turn. also she has a terrible memory for which stories she’s already told so if you spend a lot of time around her you WILL be in for some reruns. :D
