Susana enlists her ex-husband, Olegário, to help her separate Elisabeta and Darcy.
Elisabeta, accompanied by Jane and Ema, arrives at the Bittencourt's Mansion for a Masquerade Ball when a boy appears out of nowhere asking for her help. As soon as Elisabeta sets foot out of the carriage that brought her, a car comes running in her direction (driven by Susana's lackey), just to have Olegário coming to her rescue and saving the day.
Elisabeta enters the ball followed by Olegário. Susana sees them and points Darcy in that direction, not without throwing some shade. Darcy goes straight to them. Elisabeta introduces Olegário as the guy who saved her life. To thank Olegário, Darcy offers him a reward, which he promptly accepts in the form of a dance with Elisabeta.
