Daphne smiled gently when she noticed that it was Daniel walking from the other way in the corridor. "Daniel, hello," she greeted, glad to happen upon someone else while walking by. Daphne might not have been the most extroverted of ship captains, but she had just finished working on a project alone for three and a half hours, and some company was much appreciated. "Are you working on anything pressing? If not, care for a stroll?"

"Hey, Daniel, hi, are you free? Do you have free time? Because I wanted to study navigation stuff, but I think everyone else I was going to ask is busy right now, and I don't want to forget everything I just learned. I made flashcards in three different languages, if that helps," Stella explained while dropping several of said flashcards (these ones in cautiously-written Gevit) all over the ground. “Hey! Hey, man-guy! Are you busy?” Yona asked the first person that she saw who was sitting alone in the cafe. "I might have pissed off one of the people who works here, and I need to look occupied.” By ‘people who work here,’ Yona meant one of the Watchers, but she wasn’t entirely clear on what their jobs were even after living in Traceless for four years. Whatever the job structure was, she had played a prank on one of the Watchers that had gone wrong, and evading consequences sounded like a good plan to her. “I don’t know. How long does it take to get your hair to do the thing in the morning? Talk to me.”

It had been several weeks since Chloe had first seen her friend Daniel around Traceless. She had been trying to figure out without asking whether he was just a normal human for a good portion of that time, but had made absolutely no progress. While Daniel was not one of her closest friends, they got along very well, and had many pleasant conversations. Too pleasant, perhaps?

She drummed her fingers on the countertop, and smiled nervously when she saw her friend again at coffeeshop. Was it too artificial of a smile? “Hi, Daniel! How are you going?” It wasn’t supposed to be a very noticeable shop. Normal humans got their coffee in their sleepy haze, and left without a fuss most of the time. Daniel just looked... really present. “Have you come back to this shop often, then?”
